i wish the ufc had given wandy a tune-up fight before chuck, but i still think silva is a damn good bet as any kind of an underdog.

unless chuck is considering a more flexible strategy, more than just waiting for a counter, he doesn't have a chance at winning this one. he stood in front of jardine and got kicked to...

[ QUOTE ]
I love 25NL players complaining about people negotiating how many times to run it in million dollar pots.

I don't negotiate in my 60 dollar pots and I'll be damned if they will!!!

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (11/26 - 500k buyin pt 4 - Spoilers all o

they really really need to get rid of this running it x number of times bs, it's so lame.

might as well just chop the pots up based on their equity at all-in time.

Re: 50nl: AT

i'd have bet the turn, cause i hate giving free cards.

As played i think i'd bet 6'ish and fold to a raise?

Re: nl25, 3rd diamond gave me a straight, facing river shove

if i make it 6 on the turn it puts the pot at $13 and his shove would be a minraise. Getting those kind of odds i still find it pretty hard to find a fold.

nl25, 3rd diamond gave me a straight, facing river shove

SB in this hand was a complete moron and i fully expected him to be calling here with anything Ax or better. MP was 35/10/1.4 over 70'ish hands. Wasn't a good player, but wasn't ridiculously bad...

Re: General AK question

If you're going to go that far with AK, you should shove over his 4bet preflop, for this exact reason. After the 4bet your stack is probably only like 1/3rd the pot.

edit: assuming 100bb stacks

Re: nl25, JJ vs a shorstack donk shove

I stoved the range i put him on which was [22+, Qt+] and it's basically a flip (47:53) so i did have the right odds to call. Hell my range might even be a little too tight. Just wanted to see what...

Re: 6max: TPTK facing min raise on turn

baluga ftw.

against such a nit i'd definitely fold, seems like a set. j9, 97, QT are all POSSIBLE but don't really make sense with his stats.

Either way i don't see what he'd minraise with...

nl25, JJ vs a shorstack donk shove

Villain's first hand at the table (notice he posted oop, checked and then overcalled). I never know what to do against shorties like this. I feel like he'd shove any pocket pair and maybe some...

nl26: QQ on button, checkraised on 9 9 2 flop

Villain was like 37/5.5/4 so far (only like 50 hands). Hands like this are where i lose a LOT of my money by pushing/folding at all the wrong times. Probably should have reraised more preflop, out...

nl10: AJ TPTK on draw-heavy board, villain cc - donks

Re: 25nl: AK TPTK, raised on turn, baluga?

well, my read was that he had a set so i folded.

Re: 25nl: AK TPTK, raised on turn, baluga?

so baluga doesn't really apply here? i was operating under the assumption that without a specific read, a turn check-raise generally means a made hand.

I would also find it kinda strange that...

25nl: AK TPTK, raised on turn, baluga?

Villain is 26/8.5/2.71 over 70 hands. No real reads beyond his stats. With no completed draws out there, do i have to put him squarely on a set?

nl25, flopped set, villain minraises turn when FD hits.

No real reads on the villain, he was only there for about 30 hands, was pretty LAG preflop (34/20ish). I just hate getting turn minraised.

Re: 50NL: AQ 150+ bb\'s deep

[ QUOTE ]
I also considered a big pair part of his range.. people just get frustrated that an ace flops and go screw it. i'm shoving! I still think it's a bad call 99% of the time though.
