Re: A5s on the bubble

I'd make my standard raise here which is 800 with a bb of 300.

OP said there hasn't been much restealing going on so presumably you're not going to get shoved on very light so if someone does...

Re: 2+2 SSMTT tournament: Sexy Time

is there a password?

I'll try to get in on this as long as Saturday errands don't get in the way.

Re: How about a 2+2 SSMTT

I'd be interested for sure...don't have FTP so stars would be preferred for me.

Re: $11 Sunday 100K on the bubble

calling's not an option either...you really think calling 1/3 of your chips and folding to a less than favourable flop is a good option?

you're short and it's an ridiculously easy push...this is...

Re: $6 FO Party - Flopped top two

I would've expected villain to have 88 here...but probably would've stubbornly called the shove.

My reasoning is if I'm 3-betting the flop it's with the intention to never be folding...if...

Re: Aces up on river

this is a thread where I picture Barry coming in and teeing off on OP and restating his desire for a mid-level mtt forum.

anyways this hand is pretty awful. I don't think minraises are ever...

Re: Deep in 3r on FTP.. Should I have just shoved preflop?

if I was going to go for a go&go (if you got a call) I'd raise bigger to set up a near pot sized shove on flop...as played with all the callers it was a near psb but if ace wasn't on flop would you...

Re: Simple Call Or Fold From BB w/ 88

I'd tell myself I should call..but since I find occasion to be a scared nit, I'd fold. I think it's a call though.

Re: FTP 2r, QQ in SB, too weak/tight?

shove unless 3-bettor is nitty mcnitterson who doesn't 3-bet without the nuts.

most of the time I don't see AA/KK 3-betting this big at these stakes (almost 4x the original raise) because...

Re: 6.50/45 : TT encounters much action pf

if CO had more chips I'd probably raise and shove flop...but he doesn't so I'd just shove it here.

tomek, raising and folding to mp1's shove would be pretty bad...we have to be way ahead of his...

Re: Are 3$ rebuy players capable of squeezing?

full tilt has a bet pot option just right? I'm guessing that's what your raise is based on.

I don't play on FTP but I play some tourneys on UB and there's a bet pot button there too. Whenever...

Re: Are 3$ rebuy players capable of squeezing?

I'd probably let it go without a read because it does look scary enough...and if you shove I don't like the possibility that button or sb will call also (either they're good and flatted a monster...

Re: is FPS becoming a new trend for SMTT 2+2ers?

one thing I've been seeing lately is people limping QJ/JT/T9 sooted hands utg and shoving over my raise...of course it's usually done by the truly retarded who can't recognize that they have no FE...

Re: raise call or fold?

reads (including sb)? How active have you been when CO has raised in LP? Just because CO is short doesn't mean he's not capable of stealing with KJ+, QJ type hands from CO. If you've been...

Re: 5.50 rebuy - 13 left shortstacked

easy fold for me even though table is 7 handed there's still too many players left to act (plus you said table is playing loose...which presumably would get a loose call)

Re: another example of weird villain all in $10

I'd call.

Even though it's often difficult to think like a donkey, I don't see him limping a big hand in co here. An EP limp/shove I could see his range skewing towards premium hands but not LP. ...

Re: Can I get away from AQ here?

when you raise 4x instead of 2.5-3x it just juices the pot even quicker and with 30 or so bb's you'll get pot committed faster. I don't play live but online I find that you usually get the same...

Re: 24+2: aces gets action on hyper messy board.

If you flat it, there's a lot of cards that could come on turn that you won't like (as you've pointed out), so I wouldn't like calling 1/3 of my stack and folding to a scare card.

My first...
