Re: 100 NL - Lost on the river...

I probably check-call river, to avoid this very situation. As played this is probably a fold. Villain has KQo.

Re: Folded AK to raise PF (Standard??)

Folding AK here seems pretty weak, but I guess it's not a complete disaster.

Re: 50NL Another extraction Question - Flopped set

With only one player left behind me, I'm betting this flop 99% of the time. The risk that it will get checked around is just too great. When CO checks behind and the Queen of hearts hits on the...

Re: NL100 - Is This Standard?

I think pushing the turn is OK. Both Villains are pretty short. I think you get called by 2 pair hands (KT, KJ) and are unlikely to be up against a made flush. If you are up against a flush you...

Re: BB AQs decisions 2.25 FTP

[ QUOTE ]
Do not call preflop, it's too expensive for you (15% + of your stack) so you should either shove or fold.

I prefer a fold in the vacuum.

I agree. Villain raised 4BB...

Trip Report - Salamanca, NY (Seneca Allegheny Casino)

While visiting my in-laws for Thanksgiving, I had the chance to take a trip to the Seneca Allegheny Casino in Salamanca, NY on Black Friday. I’ve been there a couple of times before. It’s basically...

Re: NL200:TT line check

Let me note upfront that I suck at poker.

Flop looks OK. Since you're leading out into 4 opponents you might want to bet a little more. Maybe in the area of $35-$40. But this is nitpicking.

Re: NL 50: position, pair, plan...?

The likelihood of him having an Ace increased greatly when he called your raise. Keep the pot size under control. Just check the turn and re-valuate on the river depending on whether any draws are...

I usually don't 3-bet this preflop. I prefer to flat call and play for set value. I just don't like building big pots out of position.

Re: $12 AQ turn decision

I just call the t60 turn bet. As played, clear fold to the 3-bet and overcall.

I push with top 2 or better.

$30+$3, KK, Lvl 1, Is folding gross?

This is the second or third hand of the tourney. No read on Villain. Raising the flop seemed standard, but when I get 3-bet it's either push or fold. Is a fold terrible? Should I be flat-calling...

Re: Open-limping?

If you're on the BT against a very weak SB or BB that makes a lot of mistakes post flop, you might stand to gain more from them if the hand goes deep than you would if you just stole their blinds.

Re: Right play with J9s in BB ? NL25

The call PF is OK as long as you're good enough to insta-muck your hand on this flop.

Re: NL100: KK in 4bet-pot OOP

Looks good. I think this is your only play after 4-betting PF. Tough luck if someone has a Q or AA.

Re: TR: 10-20 LHE at The Peppermill, Reno (WARNING: LONG TR IS LOOOONG)

Re: NL: 200 TP donked into

I play it the same way. I'm content to see a cheap showdown with what is a pretty marginal hand. Raising seems like overkill.

Re: $50 AK in reraised pot

Preflop, I sometimes 3-bet this and sometimes I flat call. Just depends on whether I have reads on the opponents or my mood.

On the flop, I almost always c-bet this heads-up. Villain is likely...

Re: 16$ : TT L3

If you're going to limp PF and play for set value, then just check-fold flop.

Obviously, as played you should fold turn.

Re: 16$ : TT BB200, fold an overpair ?

You're getting over 2:1 to call. You've committed half your stack. I don't think you can fold here.

+1. BB almost always has a 9 or 4 here.
