Re: (0.25/0.50) TT in a very large pot
[ QUOTE ]
So, why not bet the flop after you cap pf? Either you are or you are not putting CO on a premium hand, and if you're not (which is why you capped pf), does the queen by itself scare you...

(0.25/0.50) TT in a very large pot
I don't have more than 30 hands on anybody. CO is 30/9/1.6 over 23 hands, and hasn't limped/reraised yet. SB and MP3 are both about 20/3 over 25 hands or so, and I have nothing on UTG.

Re: 2.20 sat to 100k strategy
One thing I find particularly important in the non-SNG satellites is accurately guaging when you can fold into the money. Once you reach this point, any chips you put in have, at most, 0 EV. As a...

Re: How Bad Is This? Ferguson $1 + $0
I don't think we can call with the T9o hand preflop. If we miss the flop, we'll be forced to fold to villian's c-bet, losing 20% of our stack on the hand.
If we think CO folds 100% of the time and...

I would rather have everyone fold to my 150-200 raise and pick up 30 chips with AA than see a flop with AA vs 5 pple, with a 32% chance to win.

Aren't the odds of making a flush 4.2 to 1? (52-5=47 cards left. 9 "good cards" and 38 "bad cards". 38/9 = 4.2). How were the percentages derived?

Re: Birthday Problem
The two are actually the same formulas. Remember that C(n,k) = n!/(k!(n-k)!) and P(n,k) = n!/(n-k!).
1 - P(365,n)/365^n = 1 - 365!/((365-n)! * 365^n)
1 - (C(365,n) * (n!/365^n)) = 1 -...

I enjoyed the banter after that hand.
Hellmuth: "Ivey was giving me 10% insurance. 5% even!"
Negreanu: "That's because he likes free money!"
