Re: when to use the semi-bluff
I haven't yet seen a book that's properly addressed super-draws. (>11 outs) In my mind it makes much more sense to think of these as very strong made hands on the flop. Never fold, don't call...

Re: My Line here. Stud8
What are the stakes? I play low-limit HORSE tournaments on Full Tilt and generally play this hand like you did (might fold 3rd, might not). I see enough weird folds on 6th that I don't mind your...

Re: Razz Thought For The Day
I'd generally take the (22)A. It's not sufficient to compare each hand to the same range of hands, since they don't play against the same range of hands. (J2)A is more likely to be up against (25)8...

Re: WSOP ME Day 1 Small Pair
I like a bigger preflop raise, but mostly because I'm pretty horrible at deep-stacked poker. But let me give this a shot.
Villain is a passive player who rarely bets strength. He called PF. He...

Re: 5/45 Stars on the Bubble advice needed
I'm not sure where Harrington/Greenstein say not to limp here. In fact I think I remember a similar situation where Harrington favors limping. The reasoning is, you're spending 100 to play a 500...

Re: Playing QQ for a stop and go in a satellite
If hero wins this hand, he's at 9000 in chips and can fold into the money. It doesn't matter if he misses value in the hand. What matters is maximizing the probability of winning, which includes...

Re: 5/45 Stars on the Bubble advice needed
the bubble shouldn't really matter here since all the money's in the top spots anyway. With this stack size, I do like a push over a smaller raise, but I'm playing very tight. Maybe 88+,AQo+,AJs+. ...

Re: Playing QQ for a stop and go in a satellite
The fact it's a satellite bubble may actually give you PF fold equity against hands to don't want to show a flop to, like A3 or K9. Depends on how MP1's been playing. Doubling you up doesn't really...

Re: Check-raising to get free cards
You aren't check-raising to get free cards here--you're doing it as a value bet. You flopped an absolute monsters--2 overcards plus a flush draw. On the flop, you're a favorite against strong hands...

In a lower limit tourney I would figure the PRF for aces with 2 min-raises.
I would figure he's calling a push regardless and would probably just call and try to improve on...

Which hands are you trying to win more money from? Most pairs call the vast majority of flops, but they call PF also.
High cards might fold when the miss the flop, which is...

Re: i flopped a pair + flush draw in a raised pot
Tough spot. You're in trouble vs two pair, sets or higher flush draws and 50-50 against a paired ace or ten (which raise less frequently). I think this might be a spot where I lay down a superdraw....

Re: Please cure my friend.
I think both the preflop limp is marginally bad and the post-flop check-fold is somewhere between marginally bad and marginally good. Not sure this hand is really all that exciting unless hero does...

Re: When the betting in PL looks like LIMIT
The obvious adjustment is to play more hands, call with weaker draws (fewer outs, but still to the nuts) and then value bet when you hit big hands. Wouldn't recommend bluffing much, since bluffing...

Re: what to do on the river?
I think you can check-call here. I wouldn't lead out, since you're folding to any raise. I wouldn't have bet the flop, but given how the hand's played out I think villain's as likely to have A6 or...

Re: PS 1+.20 45man FT, 99 CO (Low Content)
Your push is definitely +EV and it's almost certainly the best play. I can see some making a case for a small raise, but you definitely want to get in with this hand at this point in the tournament.

Re: Deal Making - is this OK?
First give everyone $1080 (minimum you can win) then distribute the rest of the pool (3036) based on the proportion of chips each player has. Comes out to:
Hero: $2750
Player A: $1698.87
Player...
