Re: NL10 in the homegame, how do you guys add on?

really doesn't happen that way live.

while in theory it can be done, it just slows down the home game and generally isn't recommended.

Re: Food at home games

I've hosted a couple of poker nights, and what I found is that providing drinks and snacks can get a bit expensive if you don't watch what you spend.

The first time I had poker night, I provided...

Re: Isle of Capri and Harrahs Lake Charles

I went the Isle last month - they had 3/6/12, 1/2NL, 2/5NL, and I think 10/20 PLO. And suckouts in Limit seem to be the norm.

Re: Live NL pre-flop raise sizing

This is kind of related:

When I played live the first time at Caesar's Palace playing 1/2NL, there was a pot I was involved in where I was the BB, everyone limped to me, so I checked. I had 2...

Re: Lucky Eagle Casino, Kickapoo - Eagle Pass, TX

I also took the trip on Memorial Day weekend (I was there for the wife's family), so the casino was a quick 3 hour distraction for me. The drive is between 2 and 2.5 hours worth of driving from San...

Re: BM Card rooms in Texas?

There is one legal one, in Eagle Pass, TX. It's about 2 hours southwest of San Antonio. They have about 13-15 tables (I didn't really count). They have 3/6, 5/10 limit, with 2/5 and 10/20 NL on...

Re: Coushata and Lake Charles NL/PL games

Only place in Lake Charles is Isle of Capri. L'Auberge Du Lac(sp?) does not have a poker room.

I have seen 5/10 NL at Coushatta the last time I was there (less than a month ago).

Re: Full tilt $10 six-max: QQ early against push and call push

I've had something similar happen to me. I called.

Turns out both all-ins had AA. I hit the boat with 22Q.

I don't see a rules forum, so here goes: I recently had a hand that went like this -

Blinds are 500/1000.
I am the SB, 500 (this is all i have left, so I'm all-in)
UTG raises to 2000, everyone...
