Re: 1/2Nl cash: 200bbs deep TPMK in 3bet pot

I'm folding here. He has some strength preflop, could easily have an ace and is making a pot sized bet. It does look a little like a bluff, but I'm looking for a better spot.

Re: $11 NLTRN: Facing a river shove

Fold. He made a flush, has a ten, or likes betting all in and will give you a better spot.

Re: $11sng TP facing alot of action

I move all in here. I've played a lot of $11 tournament, there are not a lot of players who will 3-bet twice in the first few hands and are competent. Odds are is that hes just a super aggressive...

Re: JJ LOL DONKAMENTS?

you're really calling this sherman? I think it looks like he has an ace, considers trips the nuts, and wanted to crai the turn. I don't see us being ahead 2/3 of the time, I'd drop it.

Re: 3r, JTs, relatively SS in hijack

Are we pushing JJ+ here also, or making a standard raise?

Re: am i missing something?

lol wasn't a bad call. in fact LOL. that's right, I pressed the caps lock key. In what world is calling k8 here logical. Did we think to ourselves on this flop? Hm...lets check for value, induce...

Re: Top set, mon0tone board, aggressive villian, what to do?

I'm definitely calling here with the read from before. The three dollar lead out could mean a lot of things, including a hand like Ah-7 or 8h-8. You've got too much value not to make this call.

Re: am i missing something?

Don't random bluff and then complain. Obviously I don't call k8d there, but it's a 2.20, hes got 3 diamonds, he tells himself this guys full of it I'm not backing down. He then says all people who...

Re: Hand Advice Please

why is this a definite push preflop? Are we so afraid of playing AK in position with 15 BBs behind us? I feel like just calling here, even though we arent on the button, is fine because we give...

Re: Hand Advice Please

50% favorite is an oxymoron.

Also, with this much overlay you want to get it in with a coinflip, or against another AK (which are the most likely outcomes)

Finally, just calling behind is fine...

Re: $2.20 sattelite to Sunday 100k fold AKs preflop?

Shove pre, pick up the pot and take your lottery ticket. Are these actually a worthwhile way of building a roll, even though you only win 11 dollars?

Re: Deep in 3r on FTP.. Should I have just shoved preflop?

This is just a sucky situtation. I think with 200k you still have enough to make a standard steal in LP (40k raise), so you should be able to make that same raise UTG. Changing raise size bc you...

Re: 25NL: TT vs aggression

If you really wanted him to showdown you wouldn't have put in the third bet. It's a sad fold, but definitely a fold.

Re: New to NL25-what to do with big pairs pf

Thats exactly right gaydock. I know it is not wrong to 3bet with AA, but I want to know if there is more value from FPS with AA (or KK, QQ) in position preflop. Perhaps this wasn't the best example...

New to NL25-what to do with big pairs pf

So I just started playing no limit cash (from SNGs) about a week ago. I am playing NL25 on stars, and seem to keep getting confused with my big pairs preflop. When I get raised into, and I am in...

Re: How Big have to be CEV to compensate bubble situation

I don't understand why the AT is a fold. As in all MTTs the money is at the FT. Doubling to ~20k gives us a good chance of making the FT and possibly going further. Getting it in at 68% seems...

Re: $10 - Awkward AK on Final Table

Our Plucky Hero needs to be better out this beautiful flop. As scary as the pf min-reraise is, we should be betting this about 4500-5500. Can't let two player see a card on a flop like this.

Re: TPTK in a dangerous situation

This is standard. Folding preflop is definitley an option, but after seeing the flop this has to be a push. No reason to let two players (one of who could definitely have a hand like ThJh or 8h9h)...

Gradient-Multivariable Calculus

I understand how to find gradient (partial derivative x, y, z) but I have no clue what it means. Similarly, I read that rate of change in 3 dimensions just means the partial derivative, but I don't...

yeah min raise is gross and looks fishy, if he knows you are a regular he knows you don't min raise when you actually have something (and if you do you might have a leak). I think a shove is an...
