Re: Florida rooms don\'t allow dealers to muck showdown hands

[ QUOTE ]

Want to sort out the mess?

[/ QUOTE ]
Did they table their hands? Did anyone see them? If so, best hand wins. If not, floor makes ruling.

Re: Florida rooms don\'t allow dealers to muck showdown hands

[ QUOTE ]
The live player/dealer in me likes to see folded hands killed immediately.

However, the online player and fair and balanced person in me doesn't mind if all hands at showdown retain all...

Re: Is there logic behind this rule??

If you say what your hand is in a multi-way pot, you should be giving a warning/penalty. Heads-up you should be asked not to do it again. Under no circumstances should your hand be killed unless...

Re: Tales of the Grassroots: Ron Paul

I drive across the river to Council Bluffs, IA once or twice a week to play cards. The only signs up are Ron Paul signs. I have yet to see a bumper sticker other than mine however.

Re: Poker is a necessary annoyance for casino executives.

[ QUOTE ]
I for one would never regularly play these electronic casino poker games unless they were the only game offered within a 50 mile radius of my house.
I like live poker with cards and chips...

Re: 17 way chop - was it a good decision

If those figures are accurate you would need to finish in the top 4 > ~13.6% of the time to show any profit over the 17 way chop. Maybe a chop isn't so bad here. I still say play on.

Re: 17 way chop - was it a good decision

Meh. I'd want to keep playing, but it sucks being the only holdout to a chop. If you're comfortable with being singled out and having people gun for you, then keep playing - otherwise just chop and...

Re: 17 way chop - was it a good decision

[ QUOTE ]

So the short stacks will be dropping like flies, why pay them off?

[/ QUOTE ]

Mathematically I don't think it was too bad - your chance of finishing less than 4th was very high. ...

Re: Ruling - How many chips in play?

I don't think the player was trying to pull an angle, I think he was actually oblivious to what he was doing.

I don't feel like the dealer is culpable in this at all - no one, including player A...

Ruling - How many chips in play?

$1/3 NL game. Player's A, B, and C to the flop. Player B's stack is 100, player C's stack is 150. Player A checks, player B goes all, player C goes all in over the top.

Meanwhile, player A...

Re: ask me about being a online and live prop.

[ QUOTE ]
The main reason casinos want props is because most people don't like to play short-handed games. If the table goes to 6-handed, the game is probably going to break, and it will break once...

If your bankroll is big enough for live $1/2 Limit, then it is big enough for live $2/4 Limit.

Re: Question on someone announcing \'allin\' out of turn

pfapfap is correct about the different rulings, unfortunately. In this situation, heads-up, he should be bound to his verbal declaration every time.

Re: Soft play at 1/2 NL?

Unfortunately common. Drives me nuts when asked, I have only accepted once when playing heads up with a cute dealer who was playing NL for the first time. Still felt dirty.

Re: Where is the softest 20/40 LHE in the USA?

I've only played once the 20/40 @ Horseshoe Tunica. Maybe I was just at a loose table, but it played like 4/8 with red chips.

I can't speak for Vegas, but when big tourneys come thru my home card room (which is the only one for 2.5 hours - hence no competition), the games get noticeably softer and fluffier.
I never miss...
