Re: Poker Theory: Position and Blind Defence

Sorry, my question was not specific enough. That I know, but what does it actually mean? Or is it just some kind of fantasy name someone made up out of nowhere?

Wow, thanks guys,
I didn't think my post would get this much attention. I just got home from work and had a couple of drinks afterwards with my boss, so I will fully digest all this and the Pooh-Bah...

Poker Theory: Position and Blind Defence

When I first started playing Poker, they told me: "Position is important!" and I tried to act on this advice, not because I fully understood the concept, but because they were telling me so.

After...

Re: $25NL QQ Drawheavy Flop. Do you play for stacks?

hmmm...
Thanks for the reply. Yes, minraises seem donkish, but my experience is that they often times mean: I've got the Nuts and want to keep you in. Those ppl would raise to 2.51 if they only were...

Re: NL25 QQ Question

Replying to your post reminds me of a QQ hand, which came up a couple of days ago (although I was not faced with a 3-or 4bet preflop). I will dig it out of Pokertracker and post it in a few minutes....

Re: NL25 QQ Question

I think this is a very good question, and please don't depend on me answering it to the fullest, since I have the same reasons as you have to frequent this forum: I want to learn.

My observations...

Re: NL25 - Time to Fold Aces?

Oh man,
that's a tough spot. I play $25NL myself and I see them play 62o for a raise oop every day. On the other hand, those guys are entirely capable of calling JT on this flop and then go wild...

Thanks,
guess its the only way to do it. I just wondered, since I'm not using PT for a very long time, that there might be a possibility or option, which I have missed.

General question regarding stats in posted hands

Re: bottom set - how crazy do you go?

*Grunch*

In my opinion a drawy board shouldn't let you close down, but rather bet more close to PSB, than to let those draws get there cheaply.

I don't think I would fold the river here, but I...

Re: NL25 : JJ in a multiway

I wouldn't call here either. You accomplish nothing with a call. You get no information whatsoever, and will often times have a difficult decision on the Turn.

By raising you get the chance...

Re: NL 10 i go broke here ALOT

Now if the board were Q72r he might have a set almost all the time here, but this board is so drawheavy, that it is entirely possible that he's on a draw. I don't fold the flop here.

Posssible...

Re: NL10 - JJ 3 Aces on Board....Check River?

What are you afraid of? there are only three hands that beat you (an A, KK and QQ) and all of them are pretty unlikely given his actions so far. He's got $3.36 left, so you could aswell try and get...

Re: 50NL from Friday night. Call/shove river?

[ QUOTE ]
Getting a little under 3-1 you have to call here. The board is too coordinated for me to shove, even if it is Friday night donkfest.

Is it under 3:1?

Re: 25NL Is this a good or bad move?

I've been told today, that I might play a bit too aggressive but even I don't know if I would risk 160BB with just one pair. Especially not if a player that, like you say, is overly aggressive just...
