Re: NL50 - bet sizing?

Raise is fine, a larger raise pf like $8 may be better

Is villain really capable of floating overs OOP here? I don't believe in scare cards here.

Re: 80NL Flopped trips value bet river??

ofcourse value bet river, why would the J be a scare card if you've fired 2 barrels already?

for a 1/2 pot bet, villain will call down with 9x, RR with J9/5x,fh's
for a 3/4 to pot bet, villain...

I was with him at another table and the only hand I saw him raise was aces. I just dont understand what he could have here. Why would he play any hand like that?

Re: easy shove?

the turn bet almost looks like a block bet for the club/straight draw or attempt at a cheap showdown with Jx, but could also be a "block bet hope to get raised big" bet...too bad villain is unknown

Re: .50 stars NL, flopped straight... how to get to value town?

villain usually shuts down when the min raise gets called
your best line is to pump it to 12-13 and pot the next two streets when called

Re: KK vs calling station who got agressive

like kurto and lego are getting at, your hand still has a lot of showdown value

also, to paint a better picture of these awkward spots, villain would need a sufficient read on you in order to make...

Re: 50 NL...slow playing monster on flop?

Also, with respect to what your friend's comments were, I agree that you need to bet the flop on some frequency, but that should be a habit you ease into as you move up in stakes. I highly doubt...

I like checking. you could put him on QQ-KK and get him to take a stab on the turn. If I were playing I'd hope he fires the turn so I could shove.

Re: Turn decision on scary board

check behind and hope to check behind on river. I'm basically ready to trash this hand once you get two callers on the flop.

Re: A6s flops pair, turns 2

Playing this loose OOP vs passive/calling opponents in position is --EV
this is when you should shift to semi nitty TAG play fo sho

why even open limp? You're not doing that with pp's + AQ+

Re: NL 50: AA gets raised on dry flop

There are way more combinations of AQ/KQ than there are QQ, 18 for both (3Q's*2A's + 3Q's*4K's) vs (3Q's*2Q's) 6

Re: NL50 - TPTK w AK, standard?

We would call another bet if any card came down that would connect with that range Nick? There is no value calling once a T/J/Q hits on the river

I think the main thing I question is playing TPTK...

easy decision to commit, now its a matter of whether villain is likely to fire on the turn or if you should play it fast on the flop and get it in.

considering its a dry flop i say let the turn...

would just calling pf in this spot give away your hand range (low/mid pp, AT/AJ/AQ)?

Re: NL 50 AA turn brings flush river play

bet the flop harder, I'd slow down on the turn and re-eval considering many hands connect with that card

would not have a problem with c/f the river
