Re: KK and terrible flop
Can I go ahead and ask what shattered meant by "turning your hand into a bluff"? I've seen it a few times but i'm not entirely sure what it implies. Thanks

Re: KK and terrible flop

Checking flop makes it more like for you to be called with some sort of garbage gutshot on the turn or a low pocket pair; it's nonsensical, but fish do it.

Re: KK and terrible flop
I don't like c/c and then checking it down- betting 4 on the flop probably makes him fold those lower pocket pairs. i think it's even more unlikely for 42/6/.6 to call a bet on the flop with a hand...

Re: KK and terrible flop

Make it 3 pf due to being oop and 3 handed. I would probably bet like 4 on the flop as 3 just seems weak to me and after that I shut down.

Re: TPGK oop
Right- i wasn't considering the river shove when i posted that range. I don't think T9 is very likely, as a call pf with that hand OOP isn't very good. I agree that a set would let itself be known...

Which of the three levels do you think a typical $50 player is at, whyzze? Readless it seems to make sense not to give a typical $50 player too much credit

Re: NL25 - UTG with 66 vs. BB
alright now it looks a lot like a flush draw. there is no point in raising here- it'd be such a thin raise, and the only thing you can beat is a flush draw or a complete bluff. definitely check behind

What would be standard for 6 max and Full ring? I know 6 max should have higher VPIP, but what would be a good target VPIP? NL

I prefer to play a TAG style. Is a 'standard' VPIP i should be aiming for around 17-18%?

i don't see it as close as ant does. I like slimon's original advice way up top- call a small bet (around 1/2 pot), fold to a big bet (pot). flop call and turn call screams flush draw to me in low...

Re: KJs vs LP mcTAG opener
right, i see. a little less imaginative with the 20/10, i guess. still, isn't 24 VPIP a bit high for a player to really be classified at 'tag'? i've read that 17 or 18 is about normal for a TAGgy...

Re: KJs vs LP mcTAG opener
I'm gonna go ahead and ask a damn noob question- i don't have PAHUD tho so maybe that helps explain it. is a 24 VPIP really characteristic of a "meowchow" TAG player? aren't TAGs closer to 17 or 18...

I don't like getting the rest of it in on the turn- it seems like every hand he might have checking out of the bb with a few limpers has you beat here. Looks like a disgusting c/f situation to me....

Re: NL25 TP2K+nut flush draw, turn play
Yeah, you definitely need to be 3 betting this pf. Flop is fine. On the turn I'd recommend flat calling, because the min raise definitely looks like 2 pair or trips. If a club river comes, I probably...
