Re: Hand in which I fold TPSK for one bet on the river

The pot has gotten big enough that a call seems marginally OK on the end.

Re: preflop

I agree with others that the cold-call is probably the worst of the options: I would fold 1st, re-reraise 2nd and cold call 3rd. Not overly excited about playing the hand out of position, and often...

Re: TPTK annoying turn donk

Tough spot.

[ QUOTE ]
Should I raise and fold to a re-raise or raise and hope to fold out the other 2 and (hopefully) check the river?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this is a reasonable line. ...

Re: KK OOP vs. LAG nightmare flop

Villain raises everything, so the ace on the flop doesn't bother me as much as it might. I'll take my chances.

[ QUOTE ]
I hated that flop. Should I have checked and let him (maybe) bluff on...

Re: Out of position with kings against a whiner

Unless you have some laser read on the guy, you can't be good after the river raise. I suppose "spewy" is a reason to call the river raise, but I'm not optimistic. As you mention, if you can't...

Re: 3/6 Live; JTo OTB, with a Great, but scarey flop

If you bet the river diamond, will you fold to the check-raise? I don't think I could (although it might be correct). I just check it through.

Re: 2/4 JJ \"Fold Preflop\"

Misread. I thought hero 3 bet. My bad.

Easy fold preflop.

Re: QQ UTG - turn question.

Unless the SB is a rock, I call the river bet. You've invited him to throw a bluff at you by checking through the turn.

If I bet the turn and was just called, I would probably just check...

Re: 2/4 JJ \"Fold Preflop\"

MP 2 SB (small bets), Hero 3 SB, Button 4 SB, BB 1 SB:

10 SB+ when it comes back to hero.

Re: 2/4 JJ \"Fold Preflop\"

How can you fold for one more SB pre-flop getting 10-1 or better?

Call the cap with JJ, fold the flop if you don't hit your set.

Re: San Juan Poker Rooms?

El San Juan didn't have any poker in July 2007. El Conquistador (just up the street) had a nightly tournament and 5/10 limit later in the evening. Players were generally loose and horrible. As...

No Poker at El San Juan in July '07.

There was a small room at El Conquistador just up the street from El San Juan on Avenida Isla Verde. Tournament each night, with 5/10 limit starting up...

Re: Puerto Rico Cash Games

Which has the most tables going on a Sunday through Tuesday? I'll get in late on Saturday, and will hit one of them, probably El San Juan.

Re: Royal Carribean - Freedom of the Seas Poker?

I sailed on RC last year out of Puerto Rico. There was one table (blackjack table) of 5/10 limit that was running in the evenings. When all players agreed, it went to 10/20 limit. I usually showed...

Also saw the posting about the El San Juan. That looks like my best bet right now. Has anyone played there recently?

Puerto Rico Cash Games

Will be visiting Puerto Rico in July, in San Juan but can travel. Where are the largest number of cash games, limit and/or no-limit? I saw a post about the Intercontinental, but it seemed to mostly...

Re: The stunning hypocisy of \"moving up\" advice

At the time, I was throwing out an outrageous statement to get a discussion going about moving up. I do think people don't criticize advice on moving up strongly enough. The same guy that can't...

First: On my last cruise with RC in '04 there was a tourney organized by one of the passengers. He put up notes on the cabin doors and ran it himself (he brought chips and cards with him). I think...
