If you had to point someone who wants to start betting soccer in the right direction, what would you tell them is most important? (let's assume moneymanagement etc is no issue)

Also a very good point. I decided to take one for the team and have ordered both books. In future I'll be equipped to inform the next newbie on wether this was a good idea or not if you bet soccer.

I would say that against a single opponent getting it in preflop is always ok. The only time you're a dog is if he has an AA with better side cards like AATJ double suited.

You didn't have the best of hands on the flop, player 4's reraise preflop would even suggest an AAxx hand and you're way behind then as you're pretty much drawing dead.
