Re: Need help with game theory and bluffing.
Just thought I'd get the conversation started
Game theory is a subject born from economics that aims to evaluate decisions in given situations. It certainly applies to all poker games and poker...

Re: 200NL hand question
preflop raise should intend to exploit the fold equity of limpers. i raise 7-8bb or limp, which is perfectly fine considering hand strength. raise is better with top pair type hands i think.

Re: NL100 AQ oop on QJx board
Hero stacks off either by pushing turn or pushing river. Pushing river gives UTG a chance to commit more chips to a bluff or a hand he can get away from on turn. I would say a float is possible on...

Re: TPTK against TAG in BB 3bet flop...
Against an aggressive opponent, we could easily see a bare flush draw or a KQ of any suit. I don't think a mid pocket pair is out of range. Going back to KQ, if he decided his hand was good at the...

Re: stocks?
I should probably note, if it weren't already evident, that I am a business perspective investor and not a day trader. But I believe the logic for both activities involve the same reasoning involved...

Re: stocks?
In my view, a student of poker should have the analytical skills and the understanding of variance to give this person an edge on the general market. That said, you should not expect the types of...

Re: Equity and pot and implied odds question
My idea of equity, and this is probably not original, is the sum of all factors at a given point taking into account future actions (implied odds) as well as your immediate hand value (pot...

Re: KK out of position against large river raise
pot control is not to be considered on the turn. Stacks aren't huge and KK is far ahead of range. VB to extract from top pair or even most overpairs. River is tough, but if played turn better,...

Re: TT oop in 3 bet pot
B/F or C/C turn. IMHO, when villain raises a sizable raise with little behind, we are beat. When villain bets after we check, range is quite wide due to our weak turn play. River after a call of...

Re: TPTK Go Broke Here?
I appreciate all your guys' advice. Been feeling a little lost lately and needed to reaffirm some decisions.
I agree with mythrilfox that leading out on the flop is better, but is there a place...

TPTK Go Broke Here?
First post ever here. Looking forward to becoming more involved here. Looking back, c/r looks weird, but villain had high cbet stats. So does a RR of a C/R mean monster? Ideas on villains range?...
