Re: I\'m getting surgery Friday

Best way to prevent blood clots is getting the patient up quickly - some places walk cardiac bypass patients the first day post op.

It's amazing how tired you are after surgery - had my appendix...

Re: GF invites me to wake, whats my line?

You need to clarify a bit.

Re: March Madness Sports Book Seating?

It's gotten so bad now I wouldn't even THINK of going to Las Vegas. I can roll out of bed at 7:30, drive over to the Grand Sierra (the old Hilton) around 8a or so and grab a seat on the first...

Re: The Ohio State University loses 28-21 to the University of Ill

Re: Before I go see a doctor..

Without doing an exam, impossible to say - but by far the most likely cause is a smallish corneal abrasion. Keep your contacts OUT until your eye is back to normal. If the eye boogers persist beyond...

Re: Another run-in with the cops.

Back in the day of the great NIH riots at UCLA (circa 1974) it was common knowledge that if you had to be arrested, you were much better off getting nabbed by LAPD rather that the campus police, who...

Re: What is the most tragic thing you\'ve ever had to deal with

For what it's worth, even if you had known how to call 911 the chances of your father surviving were likely very low.

From the time someone goes down, you've got about 5 minutes to restore...

Re: What is the most tragic thing you\'ve ever had to deal with

QFT - believe me, nothing is sadder than a bunch of family members tearing each other up about a decision that should have been made by the person involved before the [censored] hit the fan. Not much...

Re: A Snowy Vacation Home.. Where Should it Be?

N Lake Tahoe is great - hate to say it, because my fondest wish is that people would stop moving here and [censored] it up. I live in Reno due to my job - if I was younger and not locked in to it,...

Re: beat: my dump was so big my ass was bleeding

1) "intergastronological" -- This sounds like an awesome specialty - wish they had it when I was training.

2) Most likely cause - internal roid. If you bleed again, see a GI MD - he (or she) will...

Re: Should there be an upper age limit on driver\'s licenses?

Yep - or as other posters have noted, at least MANDATORY real testing at some point to be determined.

Of course, if you really want to get the most dangerous drivers off the road, no liscenses...
