Being a contrarian works when you've got solid analytical reasons why the rest of the market is in a frenzy. By contrast, there is no reason to be buying the dollar. Leaving aside that...

Re: Anyone Else At The Panic Point On The Dollar?

I see your point, and the dollar is probably bound to rally for a little while just due to people reversing their dollar shorts.

I do realize that they have this information too. The difference...

If everyone already knows that the dollar is going to get weaker, the price would already be at that weaker level. For every person who sells a dollar, there has to be someone on the other...

Re: Anyone Else At The Panic Point On The Dollar?

I totally agree with you. I am super bear on the dollar and would not hold assets that are denominated in the currency. And yeah, Bernanke is insane. I don't know what he is thinking! Anyway, I don't...

Re: USD - Euro

I'm not so sure the Fed can cut rates much more. It might just be me, but I really doubt that inflation is not a bigger problem than they admit and it is definitively going to be a big problem if...

Re: Dow Theory Confirmed SELL signal today

I personally think a cut would be outragous. There is just no way they have inflation under control. I think they should be more concerned about the inflation right now as commodities are rallying...

Re: Currency trading

Yeah I was thinking in the terms of 5:1 leverage. Putting in two-three trades as a supplement to a broader portfolio. I'm very bearish on equities and don't feel comfortable holding big parts of my...

Currency trading

I want to get into currency speculation. I'm going to invest in medium term. First of all, how much leverage is advisable if I want to be fairly conservative? What should my stop loss limit be? I...

NLCASH Am I supposed to fold this river?

Have just been playing a few hands with villain. No big showdowns. He seems passive. He limps the button all the time and has generally been folding to my c-bets.

Re: NLCASH QQ on really scary board

Ok, Thanks for the response.
Well imo he palyed the KK hand really bad. He called my bet on Js4s4x flop and then instapushed the nine of spades hit. Is this not tricky? What am I calling with that...

Re: NLCASH QQ on really scary board

But if I c/c turn and river he will get it in every time he has a 9 while he may check a J behind. I also want to protect against a T.
Wouldn't c/c be way too weak against a tricky player?

Re: NLCASH-HU on ongame?

I used to play 6 max there and it was extremely soft. If the HU level is anything like the 6 max level it should be very profitable. However, the software does indeed suck.

NLCASH QQ on really scary board

Just started playing villain. Stacked him two hands earlier when he had KK and I had AA. He played that hand really tricky, just calling my 3-bet pre and on flop and then getting it in when a fd hit...

QQ turns full house.NLCASH

Villain has been playing very weak. In one hand he checked down JJ oop on a 5 high board. He seems to have decent hands when he's betting.
What do you think about my line?

I don't push here without a read on villan. Just can't see this being a squeeze often enough against an unknown.
