Another NL Triple Draw 2-7 question?
Same game as posted before...Stacks are fairly deep, about 600 each after second round bet of $150 three ways (pot about 700 at this point).

Fairly high stakes ($10 blind/$500 buy-in)...dealers choice (HE,O8, 7stud 8ob, and many other crazy games...all played no limit)...stacks...

60% vs 40% for a pair...confused?
I'm reading this new "poker for pigeons" book, and it claims that in 5 card draw, dealing clockwise, the odds of being dealt a pair are 40%....the odds of 5 consecutive cards, like holdem, are 60%.

I'll raise with a bunch of hands, but like most players in our game, they usually have AA, or A2 baby in them...sometimes you'll see all all high cards raise too = people aren't crazy with preflop...

I play in a NL homegame, 5/10 blinds, 500 buy in. its a pretty tightish game...a couple wild players may buy in for 5k, but most for never more than 2k. most games are O8/HE/Pineapple etc.
