Re: Quick PF question (kinda lc i guess)

I only put money in with TT+ here.

Re: I get capped, gross flop

This is kinda hard but I check and fold here and hope to see a club turn or river. AQ with a club as a lot of outs, and TT is possible. But his hand is so heavily weighted towards AA/KK/AK/JJ, and...

Re: How have you taken advantage of being a poker pro?

Funny, I'm in a similar position, though I don't make the big money playing poker. I quit my job in marketing 2.5 years ago, figuring that with poker and some money I came into, I could survive for a...

Re: JTs river spot in biggish pot

He capped preflop so you are likely drawing when you call the turn bet. AQ and TT just check behind on the river because they don't expect you to fold a better hand. These hands are also unlikely to...

Re: weird donk

I have no idea what to do. If I was at the table I would just call. However, he may be betting 88 for fear that you will check behind AK, or perhaps he's just bluffing a busted diamond draw and isn't...

Re: A8s turn semibluff

I don't think he's calling down with AT/AQ/AK unless you are pulling this kind of s$*t regularly, in which case he will look you up. I think that with this board, he probably doesn't have much other...

Re: Raised on turn after I pick up draw, I 3bet

When he raises the turn after pausing for so long on the flop, I figure I'm toast. He was probably thinking about whether to 3-bet the flop or just pop it on the turn. On the flop I would just be...

Re: Missed value with AA?

With this board and action, CO is likely to have a Q and not a flush draw. There aren't too many turn cards to freeze him up, only perhaps a King and the two aces in the deck. With such a strong hand...

Re: really basic bvb

I like raising the flop here so that I don't have to face calling a river bet with a weak King high. If SB calls the turn bet, you can check behind on the river. Otherwise he may 3 barrel it. By...

Re: Missed value with AA?

If you are going to just call the flop raise, it should be with the intention of check-raising the turn. My play is to 3-bet the flop, bet the turn and the river. Check raising the turn certainly has...

Re: check/fold river with midpair, small pot

is there any merit to betting the flop? chances are no one hit it.

Re: debatable flop ?

If I'm not donking the flop, I'm check/3-betting it.

Re: calling a cap preflop

I don't think I ever see a flop here after it's capped preflop. I think raising this hand utg is fine however. Sometimes I muck it, depending on table conditions.

Re: 2/4 - middle pair

If you had 99, I would fold. But here you have a pretty strong hand for this board, so I'd just call down.

Re: AA waits till turn

Your opponents don't know you have AA. I would raise, as there are many cards on the turn that will dissuade BB from betting again. Even if utg+1 folded the flop, I wouldn't wait for the turn. But...

Re: T9s trips river fold

I'd fold preflop with the 2/5 structure. With another caller in it's an easy call. As for the river, I suppose you were 93% sure you were beat?

Re: Am i crazy for doing this?

I think I used to fold this preflop, before I knew better. Since the SB called the steal raise, it's a standard call with your suited two gapper. The check-raise is a good play because the button...

Re: Every street debatable

I'm not sure I like the river call. If button doesn't have a 7, 54, or 33, he's got to fear that you have a 7 or a King. So he doesn't expect you to fold this river. That means that all you beat is a...

Re: 77 with OESD Multiway

I like a 3-bet preflop. At these stakes UTG will probably call it, but whatever you probably have the best hand. On the flop, I'd probably just call. It's possible that a ten might give you a second...

Re: I don\'t know what to do...

I'm not a fan of the preflop play. It would be closer if your hand was suited. As is, I would just call. On the turn, villain doesn't seem to fear the King, which should hit your range pretty solidly...

Re: 88 vs 2 limpers 3 calls

With two backdoor draws and the possibility that you are ahead of UTG and MP, getting 10.5-1 I wouldn't fold. I would consider calling or raising, not sure which.

Re: Going to see Swedens best band ever!

Entombed is an awesome Swedish band, as is Opeth. The Entombed EP "When In Sodom" is brilliant.

Re: quick check up

call turn call river, how else can you play it? 3-betting the turn just causes problems when you are losing. BB could easily be c/r the turn with a club draw, hoping you will lay down overcards.

Re: HOT STUFF COMING THROUGH

I yell out "What??" like every 5 minutes when I play online. You have players check-raise/capping gutshot +overcard hands versus your AA, bet/3betting the flop with backdoor draws. It's just insane....

Re: Cold War Kids - Robbers and Cowards

I heard "Hang Me Up" many months ago and couldn't stop playing the track on my Rhapsody over and over. Then I heard the Hospital Beds song and that one went into heavy rotation. Sadly, the rest of...
