Re: A hand against our very own Jurullo

Isn't the villian's flop-call range consistent with 33-99 plus the case A? That being the case, I like a turn check. But I also like a river check thinking that he will either bet the case ace for...

Re: Adding volatility to early levels of 4/180\'s

[ QUOTE ]
50/50 flips are never VERY profitable without overlay. This is a fundamental concept

[/ QUOTE ]

You misunderstood. I didn't mean that 50/50 flips are profitable. I meant that when...

Re: Adding volatility to early levels of 4/180\'s

[ QUOTE ]
In all honesty, you don't want to end up coinflipping for your stack in the first orbit with a medium pair.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm thinking that I actually do. The play is so bad during the...

Re: Adding volatility to early levels of 4/180\'s

Mingdu,

My ROI since I have been playing 4/180's almost exclusively
is around 90%. But, as always I'm looking to add to that byincreasing my chances of winning the tourney.

Re: Adding volatility to early levels of 4/180\'s

Seke,

Yes, you followed my thinking correctly. I actually think these players are more likely to make a 3bb raise with 2 big cards as opposed to 66-99. The average 4/180 tends to limp with...

Adding volatility to early levels of 4/180\'s

I've been thinking about pushing smaller edges early in the 4/180's recently. I have two main reasons for this:

1) The first hour is full of horrible players that
will stack...

Re: Standard push or wrong spot?

Jmurder3,

I hope this a clear enough picture:

My first 250 MTT's (Jmurders philosphy)- 10% ROI

MY last 250 MTT's (Cornell/2+2 philosphy)- 100% ROI

Trust me, you are overestimating your...

Re: Caesars (130.) KTs street by street.

Whoa, didn't expect that.

I can't see old-nit doing that with QQ, JJ unless he really
thinks you hit the 9 and will call him. Even so, I would expect him to take a moment before betting.

I...

Re: Caesars (130.) KTs street by street.

Fold pre-flop

Otherwise, I like post-fop play. If you are going to call
an UTG nit raise with K10s, then:

1) you better extract value from hands that you out- flop
2) Lose...

Re: 4/180 Fold QQ Preflop?

I play most of my MTT's in the 4/180's and I can honestly say that I would never fold QQ PF in the first level. Which leads me to my next point:

Just push AI after his raise.

I know this...

Re: 1st table 160 WSOP DSO - Call or Fold?

I think this is a close call and I think the 2 to 1 pot odds are extremely relevant. You need only 33% equity to make this call correct.

So, if you are behind, then you most likely still have 5...

Re: Fold this AK PF?

I think a stop and go is awful here, since villian plays perfectly against it given his reraising range.

If an A or K flops and you move all-in, he folds 10's-QQ's
and calls with AA, KK, AK, and...

Re: Stars 320 On the bubble for all your chips

I call the river.

Villians line is not consistent with a flush. Wouldn't he take a free card on the turn with just a draw? It depends on if he was bad-aggro or bad-passive.

I think he shows...

Re: Can I move up to $10/180 yet?

All good advice. I think I would definitely feel more
comfortable with 100 buy-ins, but I think 60-80 is decent.
Maybe I do a 50/50 split between playing the $4 and $10's?
That way if I run bad...

Can I move up to $10/180 yet?

I've been mostly a SNG player for 3 years and started
playing in the $4/180 with some cashes but no big scores.
I came to this forum to help me make the neccessary
adjustments for the larger...

Re: KK vs. BeL0WaB0Ve

The problem I see with shoving the flop after his cr is the line it creates for your actions. You raised pf, cb flop, then shove after cr. What's your line? Obviously a big pp. So what will a good...
