Re: AQ facing overbet on 689Q9 board

[ QUOTE ]
this is a bluff super rarely

[/ QUOTE ]
Without some specific read that villain pulls this kind of stunts as bluffs, I can't see any way of calling this. Standard fold.

NL400 flopped 2 pair

No real read about the villain, seems passive pre-flop but more active post-flop. Not a regular and playing only one table which gives the impression he might not be that good. Almost doubled up...

Re: NL500 4-bet QQ, possible fish, just gotta fold?

Just came back from Portugal, so I could end this story:

As I said I actually was in fact steaming, but I didn't have a crazy image in the table - maybe looked frustrated and semi-tilting because...

Re: NL500 4-bet QQ, possible fish, just gotta fold?

Hmmm... Why in earth would a shove be better than a standard 4-bet (just forgot to reload, hence 92bb) that gets called. I didn't think we were 4-betting QQ against a fish for folding equity.

I...

Re: Trips, Donk overbet shoves river. 200bb deep

Sorry for the delay in my answer, but basically YES i would play for stacks on this turn against a donk. Now that you just called the turn and he shoves the river, i feel he might very well have a...

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

I don't get the call flop/shove turn -thing at all, IMHO just doesn't make any sense that it would be better than 3-betting the flop.

Yes, and I c-bet the flop 100% of the time and i also c-bet...

Re: Trips, Donk overbet shoves river. 200bb deep

River sucks, but I think I probably would incline towards calling, but that being said I do have some calling station tendencies here and there.

I don't like the turn call at all, i would...

Man Jman's a nit.

I don't think he played a single hand tonight.

Re: Official IPoker Thread

Who's PlzBustMe2? Seemed very soft when i played NL400 hu against him.. Anyways was multitabling hu and nice stacks, pretty odd - was a weak-tight hu player.

Re: NL400 deep VS crazy fish, does anybody call this river?

Yeah, i can understand checking behind in means of making it easier to play but i don't think it's +EV. I was thinking really hard about should I valuebet the turn or not. I could imagine easily him...

Re: NL400 deep VS crazy fish, does anybody call this river?

I called, he showed J9 and I felt sick to my stomach. I vomitted and continued to tilt many buy-ins.

Nice to hear that others would have made the call too. Yep, my turn bet was bad and too small....

NL400 deep VS crazy fish, does anybody call this river?

Re: top 2 unraised pot

My guess is

1. he is passive and could have a better hand
2. he plays passively and might have hero beat
3. his passive style may conceal the goods here

Is 3 multiple?

Re: Catch a bluff yeah

Seems fine to me, and i'd call too. Villain's line makes no sense whatsoever, guess he's representing like a pair of sixes or something, dunno. Might be busted FD and stupid river donk, not that...

Re: NL500 KQ - standard?

But if you decide to call pre-flop 3-bets with KQ, shouldn't you shove this flop then????

Re: NL500 KQ - standard?

i don't really understand why shove would be better. not many hands that beat me fold.

I guess calling isn't good then either but basically i was thinking that I have 4 outs to nuts, 6 outs to a...

Re: NL500 KQ - standard?

Yeah, folding, that's my basic line but just wanted to check this one out. There was heavy 3-betting going on and some 4betting too.

Standard is bit stupid in the post name, basically meant that...
