Re: Minireraised late in 10r

[ QUOTE ]
With the min-raise there's always a non-zero chance it's a missclick. So when I construct ranges I add one rag hand to their range (And I don't mean like "42o" I mean like "4s2d", so it's...

Re: 4/180 - value bet straight on the river?

Apparently someone caught their flush and checked it, but I still think you get value from hands you beat more often than not in a 4/180. I'm surprised he had the discipline to do that to be...

Re: 4/180 - value bet straight on the river?

This is a more interesting spot when you're not early in a 4/180, I think. Flushes are almost always shoving, thinking that you or the other player are pot-committed at this point and not at all...

Re: 4/180 AQo OCs + GS vs. possible Stop N Go

1) That range is wide to the point of irrelevance.

Re: 4/180 AQo OCs + GS vs. possible Stop N Go

[ QUOTE ]
Let's see, if A,Q,K are outs that's ~43% to win if we're behind. Without the gutshot it's ~25%. So it looks like a reasonable call with the gutshot but not without. Why is everyone folding...

Re: $11 Bad play w/ KJs

If you're CERTAIN CO doesn't have a hand because he checked and Villain is betting, like, his entire range here, you probably have enough equity if called (and FE) for a CRAI (keeping in mind that...

Re: YouTube Poker Videos

I stumbled upon this clip recently from PAD. The hand before Tuan Le had called a raise from Howard Lederer on the river with kings full of nines (third nuts), only to find Lederer had kings full of...

I have the audio book of ace on the river and it is amazing.

It is pretty good. I wish there were more poker audiobooks I could listen to at work.

Re: FT MTT SNG - AQs on whiffed flop

In theory you should be re-raising this kind of hand against players that will fold to a continuation bet postflop, but here you should check behind -- you're not folding out very much here.

Re: 4/180 short-stacked versus SB all-in (probably standard)

This isn't really the best example of what I'm asking about conceptually, but I guess my question is: what kind of non-ideal or possible even -EV situations are "good enough" short-stacked?

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

Wouldn't a ten almost always bet the flop, though? No?

Anyone else want to chime in? (in other words, bump)

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

Could someone explain why they like the c/f all streets line here... most posters seem in favor of it but no one's went into detail.

Re: Official Stars 100K Weekly Lottery

513... played superspewy early (wasn't really in the mood to play) and got lucky. CO with 10 BBs went all-in, I called from the BB eight big blinds deep with A-10 of clubs, he had A-Q, game over.

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

I think you're entitled to bet the turn for value, as the only likely holdings you're behind are a flopped flush or 8-7. I guess that means that I would c/c a large river bet on this river, as...

Re: maxamizing chips on a good hand?

A CR is good if you play very nitty postflop and are going to get credit for trips here a lot of the time when you bet out acting second. Otherwise you should lead the turn.
