Re: Don\'t You Hate It When...

You had 8 outs to win on the turn so it's kind of like a semi-bluff.

But yeah, that does suck.

That's pretty crazy indeed, then... seeing as he went on to win it.

Maybe I need to edit the title to When will a 2p2er...

Don't worry, I wasn't looking for action... and I certainly won't bet against Cole once he's 21.

When will a 2+2er win the WSOPME?

Seeing ZeeJustin described in the HORSE event on tv as "a big internet pro" just got me thinking.

I've lurked here for 4 years on and off before I started posting, and I remember the thread back...

Re: Weird hand from 6k tourney in Sweden

Yeah, I'm not really making a very strong case, am I. Maybe I'm just nitting up and being too risk-averse... been downswinging lately.

I'm re-reading my posts and it sounds like I want villain to...

Re: Weird hand from 6k tourney in Sweden

Let me try to answer that in a roundabout way...

What range do we put Erik on for his flop lead?

He's obviously pretty aggressive, so I think we can give him a wide range.

KhJh, KhTh, Th9h,...

Re: Defining your hand: is it ever a good idea?

WRT the other thread, perhaps a better choice of words in my post should have been "protecting our hand."

I obviously agree we're not trying to make it easier for opponents to read us.

I think...

Are you trying to make this hand easier to play or are you trying to get the maximum value?

For the board coordination I don't want to let him draw cheaply.

Re: Weird hand from 6k tourney in Sweden

Forgive the tone of my post, I'm trying to learn and generate discussion at the same time. I've found the best way to do that is to take contrarian positions and talk about the reasons for each...

Re: [100NL] Felt lost throughout the hand...

I think preflop can go either way depending on reads and how you want to play against this particular guy. There are strong cases for both calling or re-raising.

On the flop I think we absolutely...

Re: bubble push FTP 10+1 45 man

Don't post results, please.

I personally would fold for the button raise. I think we have zero fold equity for a resteal, and probably something like 40% equity or worse against whatever he's...

Re: Stars $60 45-man push

I'd much prefer doing this with a hand that has greater showdown value.

Re: [100NL] What\'s my turn line?

At first I thought about checking and planning to call based on what odds he gives us if he bets.

But I think bet/folding is clearly better. We need to keep the betting lead... if he flat calls...

Re: Top2PairTK v River Shove Line Check - 100NL

I'd bet closer to the pot on the flop. He might be interpreting your 2/3 pot bets as weak uncertainty about your hand.

I think I'd make the hero call here and snap him off. This is a great board...

Re: One of the toughest hands I\'ve played - 200NL

I know it's probably a leak to have an absolute rule about a certain situation...

But I cannot stand playing KQo out of position. Nothing good ever comes from it.

I'd fold the flop.

Re: 50k review 100nl

Are you calling preflop raises with AJo?

Beware trap hands in raised pots... might explain why you're negative for that hand.

Re: AK versus 70/1 Fish: 100NL

Ugh... this reeks of a slowplayed sneaky set.

I'm with BG... We probably oughta fold but I probably wouldn't, instead favoring spite-shoving, stacking off, and being mad at myself for a couple...

Re: Weird hand from 6k tourney in Sweden

Raise flop to 3500.

I realize you're up against an aggressive player, but I think raising is clearly better than calling.

We have room in our stacks for this... you need to define your hand and...

Re: stars 55r preflop spot

If it's a rebuy tournament and you plan on rebuying later, I think pushing all in is something to consider.

Definitely fold or push though. Don't call.

Re: A high straight CRAI on river on paired board - BvB

PT stats notwithstanding, I think a call here is +EV. SB could be attempting to be sneaky with a lone Q here, and I think calling shows a profit often enough.
