Re: B&M 3/6 flopped set, turn FH, too much action?

Preflop, Flop, Turn: Good

River: I definitely don't think you should keep raising on the river, so I guess the question is whether to 4bet or not. If he is as passive as you say he is though,...

Re: Flopped Straight in SB

[ QUOTE ]
I didn't see that he was the BB. In that case, I think I check/call the river.

[/ QUOTE ]

Er... what is this in response to? I'm assuming you mean to call a 4bet on the turn and...

Re: Flopped Straight in SB

TBH, the hand didn't exactly go down like this. The true action was:

Turn: K
I bet, villain raises, I 3bet, villain calls.

River: 2

I bet, villain calls and shows J8.

In my head before...

77. He's slow-playing brilliantly. Seriously, you have to just call him down from here. If you can't call him down, then you should just call his first raise and lead the river.

Re: Flopped Straight in SB

OK, what hands is villain a) not raising preflop, b) peeling the flop with, and then c) capping the turn with that I beat?

Flopped Straight in SB

Villain plays a TAG style and is decent, although he does coldcall a bit too often and sometimes does silly things like play K4s in MP. We've played together before and he sees me as a solid TAG.

Re: Tough AKs hand in the SB facing 3 bets

Preflop: I'd cap it. You have a lot of hand here and should get value while you can.

Flop: As played preflop, c/r seems fine.

Turn, River: Good.

Sure looks like a set when he raises you...

Re: 8/16 live: button play flush river decision

b/c the river.

I'm a bit confused about pf action too... did you raise preflop, or limp? This is probably a muck at this table since I doubt you're ever folding the blinds.

Also, you can't...

Re: 2 Hands

[ QUOTE ]
Hand 2, I call the 3 bet and c/r flop. Or b/3b flop if villain doesnt c bet often. If villain 3b a c/r or caps our 3 bet, I call down. It will cost me 2BB but I have a hand that is good...

Re: 2 Hands

Hand 1: I wouldn't cap the flop on a board that dry. I'd probably just call down from the flop 3bet.

Hand 2: Given his description, I'm guessing his preflop 3betting range is something like...

What's up with the lack of respect for TMNT II? That game was awesome.

[/ QUOTE ]

TMNT II was definitely a great game, but it's up against freaking Contra. No brainer, imo.

Where exactly do you think you are spewing? This looks super standard to me.

Also, why can't he have a flush draw? Maybe he was planning on c/ring but changed his mind after Button raised all...

Re: Easy 3 bet vs likely aggro spewtard

You played it fine. I don't 3bet because I can't fold to a 4bet from this player even though he probably has us beat most of the time when he 4bets. Given your description, a 4 is certainly in his...
