Re: Software that blocks your stats on someone\'s HUD..

I guess there is a possibility that if your SN contains symbols that are recognized by a data gathering program (e.g. pokertracker), but not a HUD (or vice versa), that the HUD might be stymied.

Re: WSOP: does everyone act like an idiot, or just for the cameras?

All I want to see is someone actually acting like a pro when they win a big pot (maybe a silent little fist pump at most), rather than a total moron.

Re: Cheating at Bellagio Poker Room

It's pretty pathetic that something like that could go on at the Bellagio, but I'm more surprised by the credulity of a lot of the responses - just because they are trying to cheat doesn't mean they...

WSOP: does everyone act like an idiot, or just for the cameras?

Just watched all the main event episodes of ESPNs 2007 WSOP coverage.
All I want to see is someone actually acting like a pro when they win a big pot (maybe a silent little fist pump at most),...

Re: $500 bankroll

Everyone has such a well-intentioned but wrong-headed view of bankroll management.
Although OP has not said so explicitly, I think it is reasonable to assume that if this $500 deposit were lost, it...

Re: 100NL Deep Stacked - Aggressive Villain

I think the preflop action makes two smaller pair or a straight much less likely.
Set or squat would be my guess.
I think he's got a set more than 65% of the time, but of course it's read...

Re: NL100 - 77 overpair vs. Agro Villain OOP

Well, I have to disagree about what OP is representing on the flop.
I very seldom see people make this kind of play with a set. I think that CR says: "I've got a decent but vulnerable hand, please...

Re: pt stat question

it is, of course, highly dependant on average session length. The shorter the average session, the closer you will be to 50%.

Re: QQ multiway action flop

If BB is a donk he's calling because his hand isn't made yet.
BB - probably a flush draw, maybe a 3, maybe a J
TAG - AJ

Re: Odds of winning HU pushing every hand?

Well, the only hands that are even a 70% favorite against a random hand are AA through 99. The average wait time for such a hand is 37, which is clearly too long.

Too lazy to do any further...

Re: QQ turn desicion

There really isn't any decision on the turn is there?
He's got about $70 left, already 3.5 times that in the pot.
I would put him on KK, JJ, TT or AKh, maybe worse. If you don't put him in on...

Re: Empire is now merged with Party!

Haven't used my Empire account since the split. Does this mean I can go back to using Empire and collect RB?

I'd guess no problem at all. They'll be happy to have your business again.

BTW, how was Iraq? Congratulations on making it back.

Re: oh god, im posting a should i fold KK pre flop here question

[ QUOTE ]
Everybody seems to be missing the point here. Sure you have to call getting 3:1. Sure you're a 4:1 dog when he has AA, but he doesn't have AA 100% of the time. In fact if the limp/reraise...

Re: PP 100 -- Somewhat Deep, A Fine Mess, Richer Pot than Peruvian Weed.

I feel like you're looking at an overpair - is this guy the type to go broke with AA? All the telltale signs of a second-hand low AA are present, the guy limps, but then calls a raise? If...

Re: PP 100 -- Somewhat Deep, A Fine Mess, Richer Pot than Peruvian Weed.

I can't see the button having anything other than AA or a set with that action. The MP2 range is quite a bit broader, given that he almost certainly puts you on a big pair, lets say any 2-pair, 99,...

Re: Call all in on river in small pot?

Wow, shockingly bad play from both UTG and Hero.

What were you thinking on the turn? Last to act, you have to put some kind of bet in here.
On the river, though you split well over 90% of the...
