Re: 15/30, waiting until the turn to raise?

I had A8s, I edited the post because the converter did not show my hand for some reason. This was really strange hand since two players limp-raised pf and it was very difficult to put them on hands....

15/30, waiting until the turn to raise?

I decided to wait until the turn to raise with my 2 pair hand below. The reasoning was that there are probably at least a flush draw and possibly AK against me based on pf action. While I still have...

Re: 7 Stud Lowlimit High - General questions...

I tried to play 7 stud following the advice in that book like "big pairs play best against a small number of people". It is certainly true but every time I raise the bring in with my big pair...

Re: WPT North American Poker Championship thread

Greetings from Finland. I think this was one of the worst episodes of the WPT. Their final tables are always only all in poker but this time the players were also very weak. Especially that "crazy"...

Re: WPT Festa al Lago thread

I just saw the episode and it was very entartaining, IMO one of the best WPT final tables to watch. I didn't like that KQo call. Without seeing all the hands playd, I think that David had been...

Re: 5/10, Should I always just fold to these check raises?

I think you have to raise KJo UTG in a 5-handed game I also think you usually have to bet these kinds of flops with a pair if you were the pre flop raiser, there are only 5 cards that could hit the...

5/10, Should I always just fold to these check raises?

It is always the same story. I raise KQ pre flop, it is either heads up or 3 handed and the flop is like K-5-5 or Q-5-5, and they check-call, then I bet the turn and someone check raises and I don't...

Re: Crying call on the river?

[ QUOTE ]
Are you running bad Grinder?
You have to call that river getting odds this good.
The flop donk is really bad IMO, what does it accomplish? The rest of the hand is perfectly fine.

Re: Crying call on the river?

I thought about turn c/r but last time I did it in a same kind of a hand it got checked through and the board paired on the river and someone filled up (he checked his set on the turn).

Re: Crying call on the river?

I am glad I finally called the river, because UTG had Q5o and a top pair hand and I scooped the pot. Nice try from him to raise the river. I guess I remembered folding KQ on a J-T-9-8-x board when...

Re: Overpair to paired board on turn

Never give BB 5:1 to call when CO might be trying to steal the blinds and even if he has a decent hand you are likely to have the best hand. CO knows that BB could have anything like overcard and he...

Re: Crying call on the river?

Why is betting the flop a mistake? If there is no flush draw, I have very good pot equity. Even if there is a fd I am not in very bad shape with my 6 outs. Of course a J might not be a clean out but...

Re: Nut flush, four to a staight flush on the board?

I was regretting that I did not 3bet the turn and therefore decided to raise the river. It would have been difficult if he had 3bet the river but I guess folding would have been impossible.

Re: AKs and TPTK, Did I play too aggressively?

BTW, UTG had KT, which he chose to 3bet on the flop and got lucky on the turn and won a nice pot. My flop raise was not enough to get him out. Don't know what the 3rd player had.

Crying call on the river?

I seriously considered folding the river but made the crying call. I guess I should have just checked the river but I was planning to bet and fold to a raise but couldn't fold anyway. Was pf call ok?...

Re: Folding top set on the river?

Would he fire again on the river with anything else than a flush on this board after getting called on the turn? I am not sure.

Re: Turn raise HU when there is a pair on board?

Re: Turn raise HU when there is a pair on board?

If this is an easy call down then what kind of a hand could SB have that he would play like this and you can beat? He completed the SB, which means he could easily have a 6 in his hand. If he has a...

Re: AKs and TPTK, Did I play too aggressively?

UTG is 31/20 but only 45 hands. I think I have to bet the non-diamond turn even if I just call the flop 3bet, because quite often UTG has a draw. I was probably a little bit on tilt, I guess I should...

Re: 5/10, two decisions, how Did I Play?

It is certain that I cannot win the pot on the flop and 3-bet is quite likely. If SB has unimproved overcards, he will call my raise, plus some players between us might cold call (some might 3 bet...
