SB against unknown

I have been trying to steal more from the SB, but keep running into situations like this.

Should you peel one off or just fold? When the Ace came I decided that I would donk bet it, to...

Re: Middle pair in a BvB situation

I agree with everyone just call down....no way do I fold the river...could be a busted draw, as villain appears to be aggressive.

Re: AT, thirdpair + FD + GS on turn

I would say you are most likely behind at this point....I would call the turn and if flush or straight hits on the river, lead out (on a board that scary don't think he is betting unless he has a...

Re: AT w/ one overcard on the turn

I am real surprised that Oink says to bet/fold, that seems awful weak tight. If I am going to fold to a raise in that situation I will check the turn....and call the river, depending on the card.

Re: AT w/ one overcard on the turn

not sure what else you can do....if he is bluffing and you raise, he will fold...if he has a J he is calling. I play it the same.

Re: Your action?

Not sure why would not bet you have 18 outs and you could still have the best hand as well....

I would imagine that this is a trick question though...since it seems so obvious to bet. The only...

Does anyone see a fold here?

I copied this from another forum and was surprised that noone mentioned folding the turn. It appears that you probably have at most 5 outs considering how tainted they might be.

Villain is...

Re: standard QQ / KK spot

I think after the donk bet you are more likely to be good (if he had let's say ak, probably would cr)....you have to call down in this instance. According to pokerstove against top 10% you are 60-40...

Re: Anyone check raising this river????

I find the donk bet on the flop very interesting. This is something I almost never do, is that the right play in this instance? I have noticed good players donk betting flops more often and I am...

Would this software be legal?

I was wondering if there would be a way to incorporate Pokerstove into a pokerace/pokertracker program? For example, UTG raises, your pokerdata base shows that this player raises 10% of his hands...

Re: PokerTracker: The Next Generation (NEW SOFTWARE DISCUSSION)

I brought this up earlier in this thread and didn't see a response. It would really be nice to see each players action in the hud (check, raise, reraise), if you are multi tabling it is difficult to...

Re: Your method doesn\'t take into account postflop play

yes, I play 1-2 at stars....so maybe I don't have as big a leak as I thought?

Re: Your method doesn\'t take into account postflop play

I had the box check and those were the stats. I unchecked the box and the stats came up as the same, which does not make sense.

Re: Q8 rivers top pair in orphan pot

I guess I am missing something, why wouldn't you bet. Noone has showed strength. Might get called down with an A high. No draws got there....people call the river with all kinds of weak hands.

Re: Your method doesn\'t take into account postflop play

I think I have found a huge leak in my game....unless I am misreading. My loss with one pair when seeing showdown is higher than my total win with any one of the premium hands. Is anyone else...

Oink,

That is interesting that you think they are the same....I just couldn't imagine a 1/2 loose passive playing nosebleed stakes, they would get killed....how could they afford it. But since I...

quiz number 20 From Stox book

I realize that the book is geared to much higher stakes, than I play....so i was wondering if you were playing low stakes if the answer would be different.

You have QS6s and open raise from the...

Re: Am I playing too scared?

Yes, you are. I would raise the flop....if reraised just calldown. If heads up would raise the turn.

Also, in the original example, I assume you peel one on the flop and fold to a...

raise preflop facing a donk bet

One situation that keeps coming up lately, is that I raise preflop lets say with AKO from the button and the SB and BB call. Let's say the flop comes J95 rainbow. The SB donk bets and BB calls. ...

Re: Defending BB: which offsuit holdings and when?

I ran pokerstove on this and if you assume UTG rasier would raise with top 10% and cold caller would call with top 20%, if you have J7O your equity is 18.6% and with JTO it is 21.6%. Getting 5-1 on...
