Re: 400 NL: Deep stack committed? Seems ridiculous but should I c/f ri

Well I think he's right about c/c the river, I like your bet on the turn though. I don't think I can get away from this one. I think it's possible that he overplays a/k or k/q here.

Re: 5/10 live. My AK gets 6 callers and turns a pair.

cbetting this with a/k seems horrible to me. I don't know if you can just call here either. The only way he's folding is if the BB pushes and the limper calls. I'm not sure if it gets checked...

Re: Busted Staight draw but worth a river bluff?

The guy bet 2.50 on the turn, he probably just doesn't understand bet sizings. I imagine he's pretty strong here and is calling a raise.

Re: I almost always fold to 3-bets...when can I call?

Depending on chip stacks I'm more likely to draw with drawing hands rather than with hands that I wanted to be the aggressor with preflop. For instance if I have K/Qo and get 3 bet, I'm likely...

Re: 50NL JJ OOP Standard Line?

How is he not getting odds for hitting a set here? It's 4.25 for $55

Re: Overbetting: When to use it?

[ QUOTE ]
I said my hand was a bad example, but I didn't mean that you all had to post ones where you overbet in really stupid spots too. Sorry for leading y'all down that road.

Re: Overbetting: When to use it?

[ QUOTE ]

The villain actually folded an Ace here. (During the next hand he typed in the chat box that he had "made a sick fold.)"

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure he actually folded his pocket...

Re: Questions about PPs (PF raise, variance, micros)

I limp with these live all the time, people play the board more than they play your hand, and they are willing to stack off with much less. Online it's much trickier.

Re: Overbetting: When to use it?

I like overbets for semi bluffs a lot. Here is an example from a live game I was playing:

Preflop I had around 390 in chips, the opponent had around 500. This was 1/2. I was on the button and...

Re: Live - QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

I agree that I'm overplaying the queens post flop here, but the problem is that I put so much money in on the flop, I imagine that would have gotten most hands that would have nailed that flop out,...

Re: $50 Range to call push

I think I only call with KK or AA. If you've seen him do this a lot I might throw K/A in there too, but if he hasn't done it much I'm not willing to gamble on whats probably a coinflip but when I...

Re: $50: QQ against big turn bet

I think this player probably just read an article or a book that mentioned floating flops, but doesn't understand how to do it yet. The only hand I see beating you here is pocket 9s or 7/8, so I...

Re: 50NL: 86o in the BB

I think his range is narrowed a little to much here. 7s 8s 2s are possible here as well as 9/10 or even something like 10/jd.

I think I'd check here and hope to call a small bet. If he bets big...

Re: 50NL Flopped set of 10\'s How do I extract maximum?

I don't like c/raising this flop. You are so huge here to his range, why not bet the flop and hope that he raises, which he probably will? By c/raising the flop you are giving him an easy way out...

Re: QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

I was actually home for thanksgiving so I was playing at Sandia casino in Albuquerque.

Unfortunately I don't think that if I bet the turn I can ever get away from the hand, it's all going in.

Re: QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

Thanks for the replies, and thinks for talking about why to just call here, that didn't even occur as an option to me before.

This was 1/2.

Re: 400 NL - LITTLE HELP HERE?

Hmmm at lower limits I bet this flop every time, but if you are playing better quality players I can definitely see not betting here, most people won't be calling you light preflop.

I don't...

Re: QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

Really you just call preflop? I didn't even consider that option. Why would you do that? The CO's raise to 25 is a suck bet for the UTG so it's going to be 3 way and I'll be out of position.

Re: 50NL: Pot control line check with TPGK

I bet flop, raise turn and then c/c the river. Way too passive for me.

Re: QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

But why? I don't see what hand is strong enough to just smooth call. K/A of diamonds most likely pushes, I don't think any pocket pair below Queens are still here, maybe jacks but I Doubt it.

Re: Random Bankroll Question from Micro Stakes Player

I think the 20x buy in rule is perfect. Basically you don't want a bad streak to cripple you.

If it's based off of buy in or big blinds it's the same thing because your buy in is based off of...

Live - QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

Weirdest hand I've played in awhile. At a casino so I'll reenact it best I can. The opponent here was just recently moved to the table, but seems to be pretty LAG.

FR but only mentioning the...

Re: 400 NL - LITTLE HELP HERE?

I don't know about the push on the river. What hand that is losing is calling? The king also brought the only draw. Thats a tough spot on the river, not saying I know anything thats better. ...

Re: 1/2 Live deep stacked, good semi bluff or spew?

After reading the responses just calling on the turn and then potting seems sooooo damn clever. That play is absolutely nuts to me, especially since it gives me the added bonus of hitting my full...
