Re: What to do on the turn?
So do you have villain as most likely on an overpair or AT?
[ QUOTE ]
assuming our outs are clean, you're getting direct odds to call the turn, and you have implied odds most of the time as...

Re: What to do on the turn?
In retrospect, that is what I am wondering if I should have done.
In the hand I re-raised enough to put him in, he called with AhQh and I won when my straight hit the river.
The thing is that I...

What to do on the turn?
Villain is quite passive. He will bet top pair but switches to call-down mode if raised. He tends to slowplay sets or better. I thought there was some chance he would fold top pair to an all-in raise...

Re: Overpair problems
You seriously pop it to 60 and then fold for 30 more with 150 in the pot?
[ QUOTE ]
I don't know how else to handle this than to pop it to 60 and fold if raised.

Re: Quirky little KQ
I'd like it a little more if the stacks were deeper and villain was known to be worse than just "loose so far, and may have a bluffing streak" based on 30 hands.
Even then, it seems so...

Re: Quirky little KQ
I am not at all fond either of Hero or Villain's play in this hand. It looks as if Villain made the most costly mistakes, because he made them on later streets. Even so I dislike Hero's play the...

Does everybody really re-raise KK 100% of the time? I do almost always re-raise with them, just not this time...
My reasoning for leading the flop was: Paired flop, no flush draw. I am likely way...

RussianBear,
This isn't a very helpful reply. It worries me to see veteran posters replying like this. Have I breached group etiquette somehow? I have checked the FAQ sticky. Other than not using a...

Re: Range for TAG villain?
Does that mean that you don't call the push?
Would you have check-raised all-in in that spot?
What range do you have villain on?
When I check-raised the turn I was expecting Villain to fold.

Re: Range for TAG villain?
Usually (~95% of the time) I do re-raise KK. This time I did not becasue it was already heads-up and villain's open raising range was very wide. So I decided to call, lead at any flop and then...

Range for TAG villain?
Villain is a tough customer (little eagle icon in my PT database). Tight and aggressive. Doesn’t make many mistakes.
$0.50/$1 - No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
Villain open raises to $3.50 OTB...

Re: Rethinking Combo Draws
The problem that I have with your analysis is that your win at showdown odds of 3:1, include all the times KTs makes a one pair hand that is best. But, as you said yourself, you can't expect to play...

Re: SCs UTG
I don't think my read changed. The table was tight but they seemd to call a raise with almost anything they would limp.
Just to clarify: I guess what I ment was that I could open raise with pretty...

Interesting. I was thinking either ~1/2-1/3 pot or check behind. I seem to loose these surprising often when I bet and am called. How often on average do you find that your hand good when you pot it...

6-handed pre-flop. Sometimes I raise T9s UTG, sometimes I limp, sometimes I just fold them.

SCs UTG
The table has been tight and passive, not many flops, a raise often wins the pot. Villain is very tight and passive (50 hands). However, he did open limp in SB, call a raise, lead at a J high single...
