Re: SSNL - December Goals ?

Had intended to learn HU in Nov, but that went kind of [censored] so I didn't feel motivated enough to continue. Ran like jesus when I deposited some $ on stars to get goldstar (need to use my FPPs...

Wow, why do so many people check behind on this flop? He misses it so much here it isn't funny. Even when he doesn't miss it completely, you might still be ahead.

Re: Stats check: my game is falling apart

Is this prima (since you have NL300 in your stats)? I guess you probably don't want to disclose your username on there, but just curious since I played a decent amount of 1/2 (and some 1.5/3 and .5/1...

Shove preflop. Failing that, shove the flop.

If you ever want to move up, you can't be a weaktight fgators.

Re: 40 Buy-in NL Table: Even worth playing?

Uhm, it sounds like it's just variance, shortstacked poker is pretty damn variance heavy I think.. Doesn't sound very fun to play with 20 big blinds tho, but that's another story...

Re: What is a good day for you?

Hm, some days you just play really well - you notice every single little detail, you feel clearheaded when thinking through a hand etc.. That's a good day for me, even if I don't win a [censored] (I...

To me it looks like you just got unlucky on most of the hands. Totaly out flopped most the time. These hands are a perfect example of why im starting to learn other games instead of just...

Re: is 200 enough for 10nl

I used 25 buyins when I started out (and have used it ever since, even though I tend to take shots with a little bit less nowadays), so if you feel uncomfortable, just do that.

Are you playing on...

Re: Help, am I grossly overplaying these hands? 3/6nl

Hand 1 you should raise a bit more preflop IMO, your raise is barely over a minraise.

The rest looked standard, but the handhistories are pretty ugly so I might have missed something.. If losing...

Why turn a hand with monster post flop potential (and with great odds) into a bluff? I'd rather have some random crap than 9s.

Re: Spot i hate - QQ on A high board

Raise a bit more preflop, and if you called, I think I love the check. I think you get him to put the most money in when behind this way.

Re: quick ak hand

Basically, I tend to 4bet and play for stacks if it's in a steal situation/LP (CO vs BTN, CO vs blinds, BTN vs blinds, SB vs BB), I tend to fold much more often if it's something like UTG raise, SB...

Re: switching currencies

Just found out that you can only get rakeback at Eurobet if you keep your money in $, not so for InterPoker where it's available always.

Re: CTS did something like this in his video

CTS' hand went something like: raise, opponent 3bet, he make tiny tiny 4bet with 65o, cbet halfpot~ on 7AK 2 diamond flop, push for close to 2/3 pot on 8x turn.

In the hand above, does anyone like...

Isn't it completely irrelevant what the tables play as (ie Crypto has $, GBP and euro tables, but 90% of the traffic is at $, but since there's no conversion fees you can play whichever you like,...

Re: NL100: AQ 3bet pot picked up draw on turn

Shove or bet/call turn. Isn't your PF 3bet a little bit small (especially for being OOP), or is 13 fine? I'd make it 14 for sure but I dunno how big of an impact that actually has.

PartyPoker allows you to keep your bankroll in Euros.
Inter Poker (and I'm guessing all of the cryptologic network) allows you to keep your money in GBP, euro or $.
Eurobet (and I'm guessing all...

Re: AK vs same opponent 2 hands in a row..

The B, it's BTN vs SB in a 5 handed game vs someone with very reasonable looking stats, I think 4betting is 100% standard here, and we obviously can't ever fold after we put in half our stack...

I started poker last week of November 2006 with 50$, playing super nit mode at NL2 (/w 2$ buyin as I was following a 25 buyin rule and 2$ is 100bb since stars NL2 plays 200bb deep). Started 12...
