Re: How is this blind defense line?
I think you definitly have to try something like this against someone who is just going to pound it all the time.
The problem with this line is that villain is calling the turn raise almost 100%...

Re: I just can\'t stop folding
I like hand one, and I play it the same way. You've got to be able to release AT when its likely you're out kicked. Since villain plays so predictably a raise for information will allow you to get...

Re: So a tag pulls a clarkmeister....
[ QUOTE ]
clarkmeister works because you can safely fold to a raise. pop this guy.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why would we raise if he only calls with hands that beat us?
He'll fold everything else.

Re: yuck
Why just call preflop? Against a steal, I almost always raise to drive out the BB when I have a hand. JTs isn't great, I feel much better HU.
I feel that knocking out BB is much more valuable...

UTG is 40/1 over a small sample. Both of them are pretty typical calling stations. I rarely see raises out of either. I didn't particularly want to raise a marginal...

Re: AJo
This is one of those spots where I feel like I'm forced to call down even though its close, and likely -EV in isolation.
I think calling this down is a very small mistake at worst, given the lack...

Re: 2 Hands, 2 Huge pots
hand 1 -
I would have played it this way.
But I was thinking, is it worth it to try to protect here?
It is unlikely that you are ahead. You're getting an awesome price to draw to a set. With...

Re: This one wasn\'t fun
I think a flop raise helps protect our Ace outs. Button could easily have a bigger Ace here, we need to try to knock him out.

Re: Party 1/2 AQs
I don't like C/R'ing the flop because it gives villain a chance to fold PPs QQ-TT early, when villain might put in another BB on the turn.
C/C, then donk the river. Folding to a raise isn't bad...

Re: How bout a confusion check?
I feel like UTG's range is clearly AA-TT here, maybe 77. The river check does nothing to make me think your winning chances have improved.
Since your chances of winning this pot are no more than...

Re: Maybe Simple: Top Pair Hand
I like just calling preflop, encourage the blinds to call. Yeah 21 PFR is very aggressive but domination is still a big problem.
On the flop I'd say you have to fold. It's too likely you are...

Re: Clarkmeister?
It's fine. I complete with more hands when only one player limps in from middle to late position, and I'm not afraid of BB raising. I would throw it away if there were more limpers.

Re: Clarkmeister?
Agreed. I think Hero is called nearly 100% of the time by better hands.
Hero has been betting since the flop; the bet on the river doesn't represent the flush well.
If you're going to put...

Re: How do you review your PT sessions?
I've used notepad for sesson notes before. It tends to get a little cumbersome after awhile.
I now use TiddlyWiki (http://www.tiddlywiki.com). Basically it is a self-contained wiki (using...
