Re: Fold AQ here on bubble?
You have t3130 and need to call t2000. So a stop n go will have you pushing t1130 into a t4600 pot. Not much of a threat.

Re: AQ vs shortie
Yes if you make it a standard 50% or so. He has t760 remaining, so c-betting t2-300 would be enough to find out where he is.
As to your question in another post, about opening for t500 instead of...

Re: Fold AQ here on bubble?
The raiser has plenty of chips and no need to get involved without a premium hand. If you come in and get heads up, your best situation is most likely to be on the short end of a coin flip, i.e. vs...

Re: AQ vs shortie
Open pushing pf is just plain silly. There are 5 players left to act and two of them have you covered. AQ becomes very marginal if you get any action. Here, my choice would be a continuation bet,...

Re: Pockets with very coordinated boards
On hand 1, I have to go with the 3bettors. Too often at this limit I see top pair betting like these blinds, trying to boost out the preflop raiser (Dano) who they hope has two big unpaired cards.

Re: Another AA hand
I think you have to call the turn raise and call the river. Sure, you could be way behind to TT or JJ on the button, but TAGs like to bet scare cards like that turn J, and a big flush draw or QQ is...

Re: Playing against a flush
You have to bet. If villain called with something like bottom pair, an over card and a back door flush draw (as he should where four or more saw the flop), he now has a flush draw and you CANNOT give...

Re: Party 1/2: AA misplayed?
He wasn't a friend, just some guy at the table. I agree about the missed bets and posted the hand so 2+2ers could see how not to play AA.

Re: 2 hands - advice
Hand 2 - Fold pre-flop, if suited I guess worth a call. Turn I guess I slowdown after villain raises and I dont 3 bets and just call down.

Party 1/2: AA misplayed?
This is a hand I watched. MP1 had AA in the pocket. Comments on the way he played it?

Re: Party 1/2: 99 vs reraise
Good analysis. I considered folding when villain capped the turn, but by that time the pot had ll.5 bb and I pretty much had to see it through.

Party 1/2: 99 vs reraise
Villain has been very aggressive pf, e.g. open raising on A9o and 3-betting T9s. Comments welcome on all streets.

Re: Party $11- QQ reraised all in on first hand
HOH has a detailed discussion of openpushing QQ. Basically, it is -EV at low blind levels. Even though Harrington's example contemplates pushing from UTG, I suspect the principles would apply here.

Re: ($6.50) Play this set slower?
Flat call and push looks good, unless a big card hits on the turn. In that case, check as though scared your tens are now beat, and come back over the top of his bet.

Re: JJ early stage! help! $11s
If this were a bubble play, or hero was already ITM, that would be different. The problem here is that if you win, you don't win much of anything, and if you lose, you lose everything.
I agree...

Re: JJ early stage! help! $11s
You're missing a basic point - if you push and win this hand, you get nothing but the right to play the next one, which is something you already have. If you lose, you don't get to play any more.

Re: PP332 - KT on the bubble, what\'s my play?
Assuming you fold, SB should do what big stacks do in this situation, pound on the weak.
Assuming you push, unless SB has a huge hand, he should back out and let you pound on the short stacked BB....

Re: NL Tourney - Heads Up Play
#1 - I would prefer a fold on the flop. Based on your read, Villain's raise likely shows a good hand, two pair or a set, and he will have outs even if you hit.
#2 - Half the pot is not a strong...

Re: PP33s - How good is my JJ?
Fold, fold, and then fold.
You don't have a dog in that fight.
Even if you are best right now, playing against 2 others cuts way down on your chance of winning.
Don't expect UTG+1 to fold if...
