Re: What\'s the REAL reason(s) so many \"top\" players are busto?

Here is another poker pro who bit the dust. Online limit holdem specialist who was fairly arrogant when he was moving up. He even wrote a poker book, the short handed section was considered pretty...

Re: options trading is like crack

Buying straight calls/puts is considered the riskiest strategies. You're dealing with multiple factors working against you, picking right direction, time decay, volatility, etc.

Smart people sell...

Re: What are the top pros worth?

I remember reading Todd Brunson and some other pros (not Doyle, tho he regrets it) made a TON of money investing in a stock back in the 90s. MedRec or something.

Re: Brag: new car

Got a Lexus RX 2002 so I can second your comments. If you're gonna get a RX, definitely consider getting post 2005. Newer generation bumped up the interior to try to keep ahead of the competition. ...

Re: HU - Live 50/100

You kidding me. I tried to get through Holden's new book Bigger Deal, and feel asleep half way through.

Every single blog entry had me riveted from beginning to end.

I'm a trader too and...

Re: Jeff Lisandro 1 million/yr

Lisandro seems like a very likeable guy. Low key and humble.

Friedman was a real douchebag for attacking his integrity without even knowing the guy.

Lisandro interview...

Re: $1.4 Million Day

Is this akin to that kid who sold everything and bet on roulette red to double up? If OP was stopped out, would we be reading about a suicide?

Re: \"I Bet You\", Laak and Antonio\'s show

Show is pretty cool. I have a newfound respect for Laak and Esfandiari. Especially Phil. I just to think he was a complete idiot for doing that unabomber sh*t.

Re: Bigger Deal: Short Review

I am in the middle of reading Bigger Deal. I enjoyed Big Deal enough that I bought this book the first day it was available at Borders.

If you keep up with poker current events, the stuff Holden...

Re: Patrick Antonius interview!!

It's good to be Patrick.

I don't know, everything has been going so fast for me. It's so funny, from the limits I played; I've never had to go down a limit, nor have I ever lost an amount of money...

Re: Paul Wasicka\'s earrings

One of the magazine that did a cover story on him, he specifically stated that he felt buying in with one's own money was very important to him.

He's a bit manic-obsessive so I can believe he...

Re: Full Tilt Gossip from Aussie millions

Kristy Gazes is one big girl. She looked like she could take on Chad Brown. When she picked up Mercier after knocking her out, she looked like a gigantic dude going for a bearhug.

Re: NBC Heads-Up ratings data (as of April 29)

I thought Laak antics were the most embarrassing that I've seen. Brenes tops it in spades. It's partly Phil's fault though. Humberto saw how people tolerate/enjoy Phil's act and now he thinks he...

Re: Is Liz Lieu really good at limit?

I was reading recent All-In. She talks about regularly playing the 400-800 limit in California. She mentions you need $40k (or $400-500k bankroll) to play 300-600. I think that qualifies as doing...

Re: Anna Wroblewski

I just saw the CardPlayer's video interview. Anyone else thinks she resembles Stu Ungar? It could be him reincarnated as a girl. Even sounds like him.

Re: Anyone see Benyamine on HSP tonight?

I noticed how big he was in the Bluff article. He was pretty thin I think in his first appearance on TV. The one in Paris. Must be stress and overeating.

Re: High Stakes Poker thread 3/26 (Ivey and others)

There's a difference here. If he doesn't make a sound and just taps the felt. He gets to see Negreanu's hand.

Re: High Stakes Poker thread 3/26 (Ivey and others)

sbrugby had big tell when he checked the river against negreanu. That loud "check" sounded like he was defeated and giving up. Daniel wasn't going away so the outcome was inevitable but sbrugby got...

Re: Jen Harmon\'s comment on PAD

At the end Shana asked what Jenn would do with the money, she replied "add it to the pile". Yeah, she's busto.
