Anything smaller than a notebook that will give me poker access??

I've been considering buying a notebook recently, but have been reluctant to lay out the cash for something whose only purpose would be to allow me to play when away from home from time to time. Then...

Re: Tricky spot with an overpair

See that's what I like about live play. As soon as the turn card hits I say to my opponent. "At least I have a good spade to go with my Ace" and we check it down.

Also please explain the thought...

Re: Q9s flops a good draw

I would never think of C/R this river unless my opponents are complete idiots. That river card is the worst card possible for Button unless he was holding a set. Hero C/R flop (you range him here)....

Re: cp 30

I think the flop is the street that needs the most discussion here.

The river IMO is an easy check as I doubt you are winning this hand very often. When the button checks the turn I narrow his...

Re: standard river spot with 66

I'm never B/F without a very good read that allows me to do so. I'm not C/F against a player where the only note I have says he barrels river UI. That leaves B/C and C/C and I don't like B/C without...

Re: pay off?

Well descriping UTG as "spazz" confuses the handreading process for the readers. We can't range UTG accuratly or what his donk is likely to mean. Without this information it's hard to get into the...

Re: Value bet this river? - 55

Sharp the read is "timid about value betting and raising". So where does the concern about being bluff-raised even a small % from this player come from

Re: Value bet this river? - 55

I get called down here by Ax/4x everyday and twice on tuesdays. Bet, if raised, easy fold against this player.

Re: If you can think of only one hand that you can beat, call...

If I wanted to call this river I'd raise the turn instead and fold to a 3-bet because you played the flop like AK. I would have 3-bet the flop in the actual hand though and then not know what to do...

Re: C bet situation

I think player descriptions really matter in hands like this.

In Miles posted hand he doesn't give a read but if villian is more lag he range is wider and getting raised and calldown a safe...

AC Trip Hand #1

Borgata 10/20. Been playing with villian for and hour or two. Played with him a little before but can't recall his play from those sessions. Older gent with baseball cap and shades and regular in the...

Re: Did I play this QQ like a doofus?

nh

You would be a doofus if you 3-bet the flop.

Given your positions you have an excellent chance to wait for the turn to see which card comes of and if its safe you can face the...

Re: JJ vs strange line

I think you have to raise for protection thinking only an idiot plays his hand like CO, implying worse hands is in his range often enough for you to have something to protect

Re: JJ vs strange line

I agree it is an unexpected line by villain. I would just call here even though I'm tempted to raise for value against the two fish. I can't think of any hand you beat that would play like this....

Re: Flop bottom pair +GS

I think a flop check is best here. With two players interested in the pot I think folding is best. We don't have odds for our GS and our two pair/trips outs are tainted. Pots on the small side. We...

C'mon guys, you know better then to spit out one liners here. It in no way helps OP and more often does more harm than good.

Re: Playalong

Since UTG is unknown are we to assume that UTG doesn't have a read on the BB's tardness?

Re: wimpy play against unknown

1st hand is okay with me although the only hand I see us behind is QJ. I think all other hands would have 3-bet preflop. Maybe not KQ as we have no idea how he plays.

2nd hand I pop the turn. He...

Re: river spot vs Sethy

I think this hand needs some turn discussion. When Seth checks that turn don't both Seth and Eff have basically the same range and Eff should be taking advantage of his position and bet his entire...

Can I profitably see a SD agaisnt a Tag here

Villian is 27/19/2 over a 100 hand sample. My image sucks this session as I've been the PF aggressor and folding before SD quite often.

Hero opens in CO with 44 (The Tags are to my left otherwise...
