Re: Be Careful What You Wish For...(PLO8)

Call, you have nut-low and nut str8. It's a shot to 3/4 the players. You could be 1/3'd for the low if one player has the flush and all have the low.
120/2 = 60 high & 60 for low at worst you get...

Re: 0.25/.50 LO8: nut flush on paired board

The down and dirty answer.
Calling is a small error and cost you one big bet if you are wrong.

Folding the best hand is a big error & could cost you 9.5BB.
This could be the difference in having...

Re: micro PLo8 question from beginner

You are drawing for 1/2 the pot. You have a pair of [Q]'s.
Fold is correct. You have no counterfiet protection for your low. The action indicates more than one NLD is out there. It's time to...

Re: 10k hand pokertracker checkup (microlimits)

Good news: you're not loosing.
Avg Win per hand played: 15.07/9254 = $0.0016 per hand.

If your trying to learn PLO8b, the time is expensive. You need to refine your play in the blinds. Fold all...

Re: FL 1-2 Nut low, no high draw

If there is a lot of action, you'd usually break-even 4 handed. On rare occasions, you'd get 1/3 of the low for a slight lost. I've been playing O8b since 2000 & can count on my fingers the number...

Re: Negative Freeroll concept (PLO8 MTT)

Push..... You can't be considering folding getting 1800+765):765 or 3.35:1 pot odds if he calls.
You want to take it down, NOW. It's H2H, what are you worried about it's only 10% of your stack.

Re: Noob question: should you always pot preflop when you play the but

You received a flipant answer.

It's somewhat situational dependant. Have you observed the opposition limping with big hands? Are you in a school of <@(()))><. How deep is your stack relative to...

Re: 2/4 LO8 BB flop straight

You hit the nuts on the flop. Sometimes, in Omaha, having the nut str8 on the flop is an "omen of doom." You have a faults since of security (relating back to hold'em play).

The [5d] on the turn...

Re: kinda tilting, than after the session wanted input about this play

[3s,6h,Kh,Kd] in middle position, you are spewing chips with this hand.
(a) You don't have a viable low hand & what you have for low has no back-up cards.
(b) You have a pp[K] and second nut...

Re: This is completely standard, right? 3 dollar rebuy on stars

It depends! Seriously!

What range of hands do you think the UTG player would make this play with? [AA], [KK], [QQ], [JJ], [TT], {AK], & maybe [As with Q,J, or T] or [KQs].
Generally, a player...

Re: Standard hand, no reads

My question to you< With the "LOCK" low and a str8 on the 'Turn,' Why are you mini-betting & waiting for the river to get in a raise? You let UTG+2 fold the river for a cheap chase. They checked...

Re: HU plo8 sng\'s

As in any H2H competition, you have to learn how the opponent plays while the blinds are low.
(a) Will he fold to a raise FTA.
(b) Will he fold to re-raise
(c) Will he call a bet if you bet a flop...

Re: One day I will learn how to play 10/20 LO8

In CO, FTA you are basically trying to steal the blinds and/or buy the BTN. If you get a flop as you've seen in this hand, you are basically drawing for half the pot (trying to get your money back)....

Re: Noob Q#4: folding A2

Pre-flop your [As,2s,8c,Ts] is a pretty weak holding:
(a) You have no back-up to the NLD,
(b) You have three to the spades in hand,
(c) [T,8] is a middle gap and most of ur str8s will not be nuts...

Re: I have a dumb question, thanks for the help in advance

Strickly speaking "Hi/Lo split" designates the game as the best high and best low, with out regard to any qualifiers.

"Hi/Lo 8b" or "8b" designates that for a low your hand must qualify by having...

Re: LO8 B&M question

Putting in the re-raise is table dynamic because you want to increase the pot size. If it tends to thin the field, I would go with the call (to get the overcalls). If you are in a no-foldem...
