Re: OOP decisions in a crowded field

I think you need to bet the turn! Him checking behind once you check the turn is screwy also. He might have Aces Full or 4 Jacks and is trying to pull of the huge check raise.

I like a turn bet...

Re: AJ vs Joe Tall

I was thinking about him having a hand like KQ and QJs

I think if he has that he may be on check call. If you look at it from his point of view with a hand like KQ or QJs he could figure he might...

Re: 15-30 top set

[ QUOTE ]
I 3-bet and villain quickly calls, but looks worried. I flip over my set, and he says "no straight? Then ship it!" while turning over Q9h.

Re: waiting for O8- 30/60 AA and KQs hand on FT

Hand 1 is an easy 3 bet. Any PP might raise the flop, alone with hearts, KQ. etc etc.

Hand 2 I would call, and hope the other 2 come along for the ride.

Re: UB 10-20

I only been playing for 50 or so hands and he isnt a regular. He was cold calling a lot preflop, but didnt get too out of line post flop.

UB 10-20

They way this hand played out its an easy river bet.

My questions are on the river...
1. What if he leads?
2. What if he check raises?

5 handed I am in the HJ with Kh Jh

Re: flop decision

This is such a dry board, I think bet/3bet is much better.

Re: FW 1-2 NL, continued. . .

There is 1 problem with this game, it is clearly the low max buy in 50BBs. Sometimes it will take 3-4 buy ins before you start building a stack, this is by no means any reason to be discouraged.

Re: No more online poker? Good thing I have a job lined up...

You are right it is annoying, but villian got called in this case and I have played vs him. The thing that is funny, I have see no reason why he wuold be embarrased to show K-high is a premium hand...

Re: 2/4 Limit O8 hand.

Why bet the flop on a low draw and then check the turn when the low comes in?

Re: No more online poker? Good thing I have a job lined up...

I agree with you. You paid 40 to see his hand if you show before him he mucks his hand and all you know is he had a K. It pisses me off when the action slows on the river becaujse people who are...

Re: Rivered underboat on draw heavy board facing Insta-AI

You just beat 3Qs or a flush!

Only a moron would shove 3x pot with a boat here! If he is a moron and has the boat, reload and get your $$ back!

Wrong forum BTW

Re: A9s here? Thoughts?

No reason at all to 3 bet the turn it is HU and you at best 18 outs. (this is a huge stretch btw) But even if you have 18 you still dont have 50% equity in your bet so since it is HU, and its pretty...

Re: flop peel?

If you say he is a little too ABC, I think a flop raise is best. If he 3-bets you know where you stand. If not you can check a blank turn, if he is real timid you may even get to SD for free.

Re: 10/20 ATs hand at the Borg

This is pretty read dependant, do you think hed look you up with 66 77 99-KK?

Since you dont have a read, I think check/call is th best here with no reads.

Re: Turning Stone Questions

I only played there once about a year ago durning the big tourneys, the 15-30 game I was in was REDICULOUS, I dont know if this is common place or was just because of the tourney though.

Re: Which is softer at Foxwoods on the weekends.....5/10 or 4/8 LHE?

I have been playing at FW for like 6 years now and I have played every limit they have there up to the 30-60 mixed here is how I would catergorize each game.
