Re: high stakes absolute players

[ QUOTE ]
The most damning piece of evidence I can provide is Graycat is 66/58 preflop in my PT DB, avg 8.2 players at the table.

He goes to showdown 32.5, wins 74%. Obv he is running 22BB/100....

Re: Blind Battle Question

It doesn't matter at all to me if it is 3 handed. I'm also not really looking for data as much as I am people's general thoughts or approaches. For instance, one might be "100% get to the showdown...

Blind Battle Question

Assume a 3 handed 100/200 game online. You are the big blind. Small blind is a solid player but that is all you know about him. Button folds and the hand is played out between you and the small...

Re: hahahaha, ok buddy

In my opinion if you bet the river you have to fold to the checkraise. This guy is so excited about his hand that he gonna have to change his shorts after it is over.

Re: I need to be humored...

The first hand is a significant preflop error in my opinion. If he is a 20% pfr type I suspect you need around 88.

The second one would be less of an error (but still an error) vs a 20% pfr...

Re: I think this one is interesting...

Assuming he would 3-bet many Kings preflop, I would just do the math on the pot odds and either call or fold. Raising is a mistake in my opinion.

Re: Wacky HU action, Lagtard vs Lagtard, river bluffraising

It looks to me like after your opponent bets the river the pot has 11BB in it. Assuming you are folding to a 3-bet, you are risking 2BB to win 11BB by bluff raising, so you are getting 11:2 odds. ...

Re: Why TAG is wrong - or - help me sort my brain out

[ QUOTE ]

3) Because of (2) your opponents are then free to fold when they have not improved; because of (1) this is not a mistake. You therefore get minimum money in the pot when you are...

Keep your money tightly in rubber bands. Keep a few dollars outside to spend where you won't be pulling it out in public. When you leave a game, keep the wad of money in your hand. You...

How small would the pot need to be for you to fold?

Re: s915 and Brocathmel

Brocath and Poet both played around 40/30 preflop which is WAY different than 50+/40+. I can't speak for s915 but Brocath and Poet were both smart postflop also. Neither of them has folded a winner...

Re: quick turn decision

I can't imagine your flop cap being a good idea unless you are doing it for the express purpose of forcing them into behaving honestly on the turn. If you have any dilemma about how to handle a turn...

Re: 600/1200 river

The fact that so many people are agonizing over whether to bet here is exactly why you should bet. Think of it from Neverwin's perspective. You haven't exactly telecast that your hand is as strong...

Re: Wherein I cap the turn but check behind on the river

[ QUOTE ]

Can the turn cap + river check behind ever be right?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it can, but only when the river card is ultrabad. This one doesnt qualify in my opinion.

Re: Ivey vs. Corey Pavin golf bet

I think many of you are missing a few key points if in fact the bet were 3 shots instead of 2:

1) Getting 3 puts is a huge deal. If Ivey is in fact a good putter he will output Pavin by a mile.

Re: hand reading question

The only way you should call here in my opinion is if a bird flies over and sh!ts an extra 10BB into the pot. He has A3 a ton, 44 or 76 once in a while, and something that is worse than your hand...
