Re: Why people start playing poker and why nits play poker?

Going by your definition of a nit being a risk adverse individual - The risk can be measured in poker, and a 'nit' must feel other players don't measure it as well. Nits also love the thrill you...

Re: Straight flush mucked at 200nl Foxwoods?

Foxwoods heads up pot. I bet, person turns his cards up and throws them into the muck. The dealer asks him - do you fold? The dealer said he asked because his cards were face up.

Re: NL25 - TT - Don\'t know where i\'m at

Maybe he had AsKs.OOP is killer for the river card. He should be able to put you on a small range of hands at that point, and then it doesn't matter what he is holding.

You need some read/feel to make a good decision here. Maybe it's your image that brings these situations to you frequently? Raise as suggested earlier and it could give you the pot and help with...

Re: Borgata $2/$5 flush draw semi-bluff

No preflop raise from you? SB would have to think about your flop raise or missed this hand if you raised preflop. He could have two pair now, which has you putting in money in a worse spot.

Re: Foxwoods this w/e?

I wonder what the Sat/Sun crowd will be. Such good weather, wouldn't surprise me if it was quiet.

Re: What\'s the biggest difference between 2/5 and 1/2?

Where do you play?

1/2 vs 2/5 at foxwoods: 2/5 has tighter pre and post flop play and 3-6 players trying to make money vs 1-3 at 1/2. More preflop reraises at 2/5 with thought behind them. More...

Re: Foxwoods on Saturday

No call aheads for 1/2 or 2/5 NL.

I was there on Sunday at 11am and there were lists for most games. I believe a 50/100 NL game was going all day on Sunday.

Re: Limping with Aces - Good examples?

I will limp in early position if the table is aggressive and I can reraise preflop. If no one raises and there are 4+ players to the flop, I treat AA like a small pair.

Troll,
It also seems like this type of play will not allow you to expand and grow as a player or win for anywhere near as much at especially as you move up in limits.

Re: Why do I suck at online Hold Em?

What limits/games are you comparing online vs live? I am less patient playing online, so I limit the # of hands I will play in a single session.

Re: The Wonder of it all, When will foxwoods get it all right?

The pace of the game is my major gripe. Table fills are a joke with the counting, stacking, signing bs. All of that could be taken care of behind the scenes and I am sure that it's counted twice...

Small comfortable room, friendly, but not a destination if a poker 'action' and atmosphere is of interest. Can't comment on the hotel rooms or other table games.
