Re: HEY PZHON....How was this for protecting my 2 pair ?

Just FYI, a standard "bet" is between 25% - 100% of the pot, depending on what you're trying to acheive. The most common is 50%. Betting 20-times the pot is ridiculous.

Have a read of some good...

Re: Whats the best way to protect your 2 pair postflop & prevent a suc

Looks to me like you were not aggressive enough at any time. I would have folded pre-flop but as it is you called and then played weakly I think. Loose & passive is not good poker. You need to bet...

Re: The rule of 4 and 2

It is a way of calculating winning percentage.

Basically, the chance of hitting any of your outs is

outs X 2

so if you have 10 outs, your chances are 20%

I find it's usually a little more...

Are you guys saying a re-raise is in order here preflop? I don't think so,...

Re: What should I do with KK here?

That's really tough, I hate plays like this.

I'm inexperienced, so take my rambling with a grain of salt.

But looking at the flop, I guess his most likely holding is trips or AA. I can't see...

BTW, this is the last time I (or anyone else) is going to respond to a whole list of hands. The rule of thumb on the strategy forums is to keep it at three hands a day or less.

Re: Ed Miller\'s Short Hand Strategy on Full Tilt...

Teddie,

I've obviously got up your nose a bit here. But I want to make two things very clear:

1. I try to make it clear than, and I quote, "I must be misunderstanding something". I'm not...

END OF SESSION

Results: Wow! I've broken my losing streak. Maybe the extra-strictness that posting all my (novice) playing put on my concience to "play right" really did pay off! Woohoo.

Okay I've very iffy about Ed's SS strategy when I'm the BB and have just called a marginal hand like this example. I won, but did I play it right? Critisism more than welcome.
