I usually fold in those spots, but if Oink says that is mistake I belive him. But I think calling is worse option here than folding.

I probably just calldown after he 3bets flop. Most villians wount 3bet you with pair of eights or small pocket pair because they know that you have probably overpair

Stox book says that you should have 35% equity to call raise in BB. Little less when your opponent plays poorly postflop and even more when he plays well postflop.

I almost always raise with these hands. Even if the blinds fold rarely. Because even if they call your equity is still good with these hand + you have postions + you probably play better postflop...
