A better question

This wasn't even the best question from that show. What about the algebra one that was like: "if y = 12, then what does y equal?"
I think that one was better

Re: HEY IS TALKING IN CAPS REALLY COOL???

You are going to have to calm down, son, or I swear I will turn this car right around.

Re: $60/$120 hand

What are you doing three-betting KJo pre-flop? Even if this guy is an idiot, this seems pretty thin.

Flop and Turn look pretty good.

While normally I hate folding to a river bet after I check...

Re: Boring 75/150 value bet or check behind

Pre-flop cap is fine it you really think it buys you fold equity later in the hand.
I would pretty much never bet the river as you get looked up by Ax hands and don't get called by worse hands. ...

Re: What in god\'s name is this guy doing 75/150 weird action

This is correct. This hand is pretty odd, but I don't know why you wouldn't take a free card on the turn.

In my experience, his pre-flop talk indicates he may just be messing around with KJs or some such nonsense, but I've never played this high live, so...

Re: Flopping the nutz at TS 20/40

Fair enough, I suppose.
Mainly, I was wondering if people thought that I lost monies by knocking out MP2 on the flop and failing to jack it up at least once on the big streets.

Re: Flopping the nutz at TS 20/40

Yeah, I know pre-flop is bad, and yet, somehow I don't care. I should probably work on developing a sane pre-flop strategy for limit full-ring.
In the meantime... you see no problem with capping...

Flopping the nutz at TS 20/40

Reasonable game as far at Turning Stone higher limit hold 'em games go, though definately tougher than Borgata 20/40 games I've played (though this is not saying much).

I think the villain in this...

Re: You guys ever do this?

It's not horrible, but seeing as I'm a hack, I tend to check/raise the flop and donk the turn.
Unless your opponent is odd (that is to say good, which tends to be odd)you get nice fold equity by...

wow, that guy sounds batshit insane, yet I am not at all surprised by this, as I am also from upstate NY.

this is almost standard for middle-aged men up here.

Re: Massive pot, tight spot - TS 15/30

Is this hand super boring?
I'm inexperienced at live middle limit and would love to hear more more about playing this hand.

This would seem reasonably simple to me had I played it on Stars, but I...

Massive pot, tight spot - TS 15/30

Ok, this is Turning Stone 15/30. Seems like an insane game.
I have only been in for about one rotation, so no huge reads except that things can get very LAGgy.

Hero has A...

Re: Stars 100 game after 2am

yep. After thinking it over a bit, I think the problem is me, not the game. Perhaps I will invest in some red bull next time.

Stars 100 game after 2am

Perhaps this is not a super interesting question/comment, but is the stars 100 game generally considerably harder to beat in the wee hours of the am? I tend to do reasonably well during the...

Re: Live 50/100 Bluff

boo.

I'd rather see a check/call on the river (as long as it's not two back to you). I think you gain very little be betting out, and will find it very difficult to call a raise.

But I've...

Re: who likes this value raise?

I don't like that value raise. Had the bb folded the river, I would have considered it though.
When you get called you lose a lot of the time. I think the river is time for a power call.

Re: Am I crazy for even thinking about raising in this spot!!

I have no idea what people are talking about when telling you to fold the turn. If you're so sure you're drawing to a two-outer (where if you hit it on the turn, many people will still have redraws...
