Re: This is the Nuts/Absolute rakeback

OP here. Thanks for all you insights. Much appreciated. As Bobo pointed out, I only noted the amount won as something I thought should increase the rakeback. It was not intended as brag, especially...

This question is alittle late but any feedback would be helpful. I play on Absolute signed up through TITN.

In March, I played twice as many hands as any prior month and won 3x's more money...

Re: Value Bet vs. Taking Down Pot

Good OP and response. Follow up question to your statement about keeping the pot small by inducing someone to bluff and hoping he misses when you call. In these cases, what are your thoughts...

Re: How high do you value AKs?

As pointed out in Super System, a lot of the value in AK comes from the fact that its a hand you can get away from if you miss the flop.

AA, KK on the other hand can lead to getting stacked on...

Re: Can I bring my glock to a home game?

Defintely bring it and if some posers try to rob the game and you sense weakness, take this cue from Bullet Tooth Tony in Snatch. Simply place your piece on the table and repeat

"Now, dicks have...

Re: Poker on MBA Application

I'm a current MBA student in a top 50 program. You are absolutely correct not to include it for the schools you will likely be accepted to. Including poker depends on how you view your chances of...

Re: hi i\'m a nl noob QQ nl100

You're right. You can't really put him on anything unless you've seen him play for a bit. With no read, the push is right as the fish is not going to have a clue about proper odds and will likely...

Re: Bet this river with a nut flush?

Agree with gobboboy. The biggest mistake is not raising the turn when u had the nuts. But once it got to the river and the Jack fell I don't think your check is crazy. I don't agree with it but its...

Re: hi i\'m a nl noob QQ nl100

Depends on your read. If you put him on a flush/straight draw, a push is the the right move. If you put him on lower pocket pair and he's just calling you down its better to value bet with a half...

I'm not complaining about a bad beat nor did I suggest that it was one. So I'm a little puzzled why you suggest that this be taken to BBV? Also, the question is interesting at least to me. If you...

You're correct. I only mentioned it because I did not consider this laydown until I read the article. It got me thinking, hence my post.

Re: Did I wuss out on this river?

If you think you have better than a 50% chance of winning the pot IF CALLED then you get value with the raise on river. But, what if it's NL? In NL, I'd argue that a check here is appropriate...
