Tell me about the Bellagio 5-Diamond

I am going to be in town and was thinking of playing one of the $2k buy-in events, but I have some questions.

What is the structure like? I assume it's pretty slow. Does anyone know the blind...

Re: What to do with this AA against a big turn bet?

[ QUOTE ]
what are you beating here? a bluff

[/ QUOTE ]

Exactly, that's why I think I should have folded on the turn. Some other people who have replied don't seem to feel that way, though.

With 2 limpers early in a tournament, I raise more than just 4xbb.

[/ QUOTE ]

I raised 5x because of the limpers. BB was 50. I made it 250. I figure that was right, cuz I got it HU,...

Re: What to do with this AA against a big turn bet?

Larude, I think I like your line better with a flopped set than just top pair. I'm not going to want to see a big bet from villain under any circumstances, and if I encourage him to bluff me, that...

Since it seems like no one else wants to take a crack at this...

This was Event 27 of the WSOP, $1.5K NLHE. It was the 6th hand.

I pushed my last 1600 in after villain raised the turn. He...

Re: What to do with this AA against a big turn bet?

Larude, I see no reason to check this flop. I raised before the flop and I have every reason to believe I have the best hand on the flop.

It's when he calls me on a relatively drawless board that...

Re: What to do with this AA against a big turn bet?

By the way, this was a $1.5K buyin at the WSOP.

Seems to me that decreases the chance that villain is betting a weak, one pair, hand here. He doesn't want to bust early and his bet looks like it...

Re: What to do with this AA against a big turn bet?

All I meant that was a one-pair hand like that is not usually the kind you'd want to slowplay. I would think you'd want to find out where you stood quickly, in case you were against AA, KK or AK, if...

Just stick it in.

He has 44 or 66 sometimes, but there are soooo many other hands in his range that you cant fold

What to do with this AA against a big turn bet?

Live tourney, 3K starting chips, blinds at 25-50. This is the 6th hand so I have no reliable read on anyone.

I have AA in the SB. An EP limps and the CO limps. I raise to 250. EP folds and CO...

Re: Help me with this hand early in Event 25

I said my only read on villain was that he was playing a lot of pots, but I hadn't seen any of his hands yet.

I've thought about it some more and I think that checking makes things too complicated...

Well, it was an interesting hand anyway.

It was particularly heartbreaking considering what happened to me in the 6th hand of the event the next day...

Two limpers and I raise to 250 in the SB...

Re: Help me with this hand early in Event 25

Well, it seems the consensus opinion from this board is that you all would have been heading for the rail just like me.

I bet 1500 on the turn. Villain pushed all-in. I had only 1100 left, so I...

OK, one last question...

Is there any bet you can make on the turn that leaves you a reasonable fold if villain check-raises all-in?

Help me with this hand early in Event 25

About 30 minutes into round 2 (50-100 blinds). I have 3400 chips (started with 4K). I have played a few small pots, won and lost, not shown down a hand. My image is pretty tight. Villain in this hand...
