Re: Poker Nazi = Fun Poker

The one to a hand rule is big. "Drunk Adam" is good for that one too. All in pots with 4 to a flush on the board and he'll let everybody know he folded the ace. It's like are you that brain dead...

Re: Running It Twice and Insurance

You don't even need to know math to see running it twice doesn't effect your results.

In the AA vs 33 example you know it's about 80/20. Just look at it this way. 4 cards are dead so there's 48...

Re: HORSE limits for home game?

I'd keep the blinds the same. 1/2 HORSE should be plenty big for people who are buying in for $100 or so, especially if it's an action game.

Re: Poker Nazi = Fun Poker

There's a drunk guy in one of the home games I play. "Drunk Adam". Guy is a joke. Will flop two pair and bet like 1/10 of the pot then be obnoxious to the guy who hits his nut flush and stacks...

Re: Dealers choice 1/2 blinds, NL

I'd play pineapple w/ those conditions. Loose, passive play is nice to play against in that game. Try to see flops in position w/ hands that play to the nuts. Easy $$$'s.

Re: which game do you choose

1/2. $3 a round to play juiced up pots w/ premium hands against donkeys is better than $7 a round.

Re: How often to c-bet

95% = way too much

50% is prolly closer to where you should be in a "standard" game.

Multi-way pots much less than that.

Re: i have a game buy-in theory question

if it plays like you say I'd buy in as short as allowed and punish the terrible pre-flop play. If you know how to play a short-stack that game is an absolute honey-pot.

Re: i have a game buy-in theory question

Not trying to be argumentative. Just never get why players are scared by big stacks when all that matters is effective stacks. If a guy has you covered he has you covered. Everything after that...

Re: Hand from home game

If he's a total donk you can consider re-raising pre, but I'd only do that if I flat out knew a 4-bet had me crushed or if I flat out knew a bet could be anything and I'd be happy to get it in.

If...

Re: Strategy for a winner take all satellite

Push any edge. Don't even think about passing up small edges. Still, you don't have to lead from wire to wire. There's nothing that says you can't hang around and catch a few cards when the blinds...

Re: Hand from home game

sounds more like they're loose passive/calling stations rather than laggy.

Based on the info given I think you can call, you're getting roughly 5 1/2 to 1 to call (not sure which blind called...

Re: i have a game buy-in theory question

Which has a greater risk of ruin?

a) 1/30 of your bank-roll even money flips w/ a coin that gives you a 75% edge

b) 1/100 of your bank-roll even money flips w/ a coin that gives you a 51% edge

Re: i have a game buy-in theory question

The variance wouldn't necessarily be higher. In the capped game if people are willing to race for buy-ins in an attempt to double up to a big stack the variance will be higher there.

The...
