A Olympiad problem (original creation)

I have created many Olympiad problems, most of them for regional, state and National (Mexico) contests. This is not the one I'm proud the most, just one I find interesting and with a short solution....

Solution Russia National Contest Pr 1998-7

The digits are all distinct, so you need to use all of them for the 10 digit numbers.

Now 0+1+2+...+9 = 45, so all the numbers are multiples of 9, since 11111 is not, then the numbers must be...

Re: Russia National Contest Pr 1998-7

It's not 10^5, one of the things you need to remember is that the first digit can not be zero.

Do public money really overcome sharp money?

Obviously there are too many people in between, but just for the sake of the argument lets divide the betting population in sharps and squares.

Does the fact that there are way too many squares...

Russia National Contest Pr 1998-7

A 10-digit number is said to be "interesting" if its digits are all distinct and it's a multiple of 11111. How many "interesting" integers are there?

Re: IMO LL Inequality problem

Sum (S/S-a_i) = Sum (1 + a_i/S-a_i) = n + Sum (a_i/S-a_i)

Now the harmonic mean <= arithmetic mean, then:

[ n / Sum (1/(1/S-a_i))] <= [Sum (1/S-a_i)]/n

therefore n^2/Sum(S-a_i) <= Sum...
