Re: Donkbettors, calling stations and bluffers

You got this very right. I don't have much time atm but I may come back later and say something on how to spot what they are exactly donking (in the case of the flop donkers) etc.

Re: River bet

You have to raise at least 3BB preflop.
Some guys love to make this smallish turn donk with a picked up draw, diamonds are definitely in his range. Some kinds of reads if he is capable of bluffing...

Re: Tricky hand 100NL deep stacks

I'm just folding preflop. As long as he lets you constantly get away with openlimping it may not be too bad.
Postflop is good, I like it.

Re: NL100 QQ in BB ugly action

I'd shove it, too. You need some read that he is likely gonna mess it up postflop in order to simply call here.

Re: QQ in 4 bet pot 100nl deep

At first you cannot call the 4bet pf when you're not willing to get it in on that flop. It should only be a matter of how to get it in. Simply checkraising all in isn't bad I think, however given...

NL100: Overpair 7\'s facing ugly turn card

This was one of the first hands I have played with him, he hasn't done anything out of line up to this point. This was the first time he open limped.
Comments on flop and turn play are welcome.

Re: A SAGE mistake / sng\'s

There's no ICM in heads up situations. Every single chip has the exact same value.

Re: $115 NLTRN-I never get value with these hands!

I lead the turn for sure. Given the way you played it I go for a c/r on the river. I think he is betting almost all hands he would call your bet with.
Did you have any read what kinds of hands he...

Re: endgame, simplified hh. nlsng

dave, I agree that you shouldn'd have shoved AA and KK, but this deep sage doesn't apply anyway. AQ an AK are standard shoves, you are only putting you in crappy spots postflop when you raise to 3BB...

Re: $11 NLTRN: Facing a river shove with trips

At first, bet at least 2/3rd pot on the turn.
Like already said, a bluff is really unlikely here. He may do this with a worse ace, however, given you describe him as loose and somewhat passive, its...

Re: endgame, simplified hh. nlsng

They're all fine. You just ran into better hands a few times and lost a few coinflips. You know the word variance, right? That's it!

Re: $11 NLTRN: AQo OOP, I hate these spots

It's very player dependant. Some guys just always give up to a cbet when they flop nothing. Some other guys "put you on AK" and try to float you off your hand. Shoving preflop, especially with AK is...

Re: endgame, simplified hh. nlsng

Dude, stop being results oriented, you played it right. Really.
SAGE is optimal if your opponent plays optimal, too.
If he calls too tight, like most people do, shove a little wider (raise your...

Re: Is this too weak? (NLTRN)

tmc, yes and I agree with that. That's the reason I didn't bet the flop.
Nothing special went on the previous hands. IIRC this was the first time he 3bet me.

Re: $5 NLTRN - PF 3-bet - what hands 4bets me?

I don't 3bet A9o vs an unknown, let alone vs a tight player. His 4betting range is sth very narrow like AK, QQ+.

and youre probably behind anyway

[/ QUOTE ]

This is not an argument. When I raise here, it's solely as a bluff. It doesn't matter if I'm ahead or behind.

Is this too weak? (NLTRN)

This was on eof the first hands of the session, so I had no reads. His check on the flop and small turn bet screams weakness, should I have raised him up here?

Weird line by villain (NLTRN)

This is from a $55 on Stars. Villain seemed to call cbets fairly light. I had the impression that he is the floaty type who likes to call cbets w nothing and see if he can take it down later. Once he...

Re: HUSNG -- Ah, how I love playing OOP...

Yeah, you have to bet at least 120 on this drawy flop. And I bet fold the turn, too.

NLTRN 110: Getting shoved on with TPTK

This guy was fairly weak-tight, folded a lot, but once he started calling in a hand, he seemed to call fairly light.

Re: $11 NLTRN - 25/50: what is villain\'s range here?

This is a bluff very often. With you flush draw and the overs, you have already near to 50% equity, add the fold equity and this is a standard shove. With the 55, Im torn between shoving the flop and...

Re: 5$ Top two turn brings flush

I've seen some mediocre made hand played this way too often to consider folding here. I can't figure why they do it but they do it. Fairly easy call for me as long as villain hasn't proven he isn't...

Re: raising limpers vs 3betting

Their limping range is much wider than their raising range, obv you have to raise their limps w a wider range

Re: $55 NLTRN: facing fairly big c/r shove on the flop

Ok, I'm never ever ever folding AJ here vs a basically unknown at a $55, my main question is down to what Jx we are calling here.
I think most average guys are NOT shoving the monsters (2pair, set)...
