Re: When to raise the flop with medium hands?
Here's a sample hand from my last session where I decided to throw pot control out the window and raise the flop to punish draws instead. Ok spot to raise? Villain unknown.

Re: NL100 QQ calldown
I think I'd raise the flop here to ~$25 to get value from smaller pocket pairs and deny AK to draw cheaply to the 6-outer. if he 3-bet pushes I'd probably fold. By just calling you give 88-JJ a...

Re: NL 100 KQ calldown
Do you have any read on UTG? I don't think KQo is really that good a hand to 3-bet an unknown UTG raisor with, especially not when he only has as 50BB stack.

Re: another TT hand, turn boat - 200nl
Bet $30 on the turn giving him decent odds to draw to his flush, and he'll probably also call with a big ace. Less than a PSB gets it all in on the river.

When to raise the flop with medium hands?
After reviewing my game at the $0.5/1 6-max tables I started thinking I might not be betting/raising the flop enough with my medium strength hands such as TP, focusing too much on keeping the pot...

Re: Top pair and flush draw, is this overkill?
Just call the turn bet. He gives you a very good price to draw if you're behind, and if you do hit your flush it's well disguised giving you good implied odds.
I doubt Villain folds any better...

NL100 - 777 played really weak
Ok, I screwed this one up by not betting the turn, right? What's your line here? If you bet the turn, how much and how do you react to a raise? How big of a river bet would you call if your turn bet...

NL100 - AKs turn decision
Villain is 48/22, but only after a very small sample of 20 hands. I have nothing on his postflop play so far.

Re: NL100 - 88 overpair makes boat
That doesn't make sense to me. If you think noone ever folds a full house and you suspect he's on a smaller FH, then I should have checkraised bigger FOR VALUE, not as a bluff, and then pushed the...

UTG bets $6 on turn???
you have ~$pot behind, push river
[/ QUOTE ]
I have almost 1.5 x pot behind. thats a big difference if I'm to consider pushing.

Re: NL100 - AK standard fold?
But if he's a true LAGtard he'll most likely fire the river as well so I think if I call the turn I'll have to call the river. If I had a read on his postflop play to be as lagish as his preflop...

Re: NL100 - AK standard fold?
What will a raise to $25 accomplish except building a bigger pot? It's not like Villain will fold to that kind of smallish raise. And what hands do you whink Villain plays like this?

NL100 - AK standard fold?
Villain is very LAG preflop after 50 hands, ~55/27. No good read on his postflop play though. Him betting into the preflop raisor and two other players on this flop scares me. And when he follows up...

NL100 - 88 overpair makes boat
Villain is passive preflop. Postflop I've only seen him get aggressive when he actually had a good hand. Stats like 30/6 but only after 50 hands or so.

How about checkraising the flop all in? Stack sizes seem ideal for this and a free card on the flop surely won't hurt you...

Re: NL100 - QQ 3-bet OOP
You're right, it probably is spewy. I didn't really think he would be stacking off with JJ, and he definitely doesn't have AT. My main thought, as mentioned in OP, was to get a bet from a whiffed AK...
