Re: [LO8] Crying call that river?

The only way I would call here is if:
a) it was a gigantic pot
b) I had reason to believe that MP1 would make a play at the pot

The fact that MP1 called behind you all the way and then bet out...

Re: Haven\'t seen this before

It wasn't a joke, except for the part about wanting to leave the game - I loved the part about being in the game with her playing every hand and willing to give away so many chips....but I didn't...

Re: Haven\'t seen this before

It was no joke - and yes, she did light the lighter - you should have seen the look on the dealer's face when there was this actual flame flicering in a high arc all around her chips.

Haven\'t seen this before

Playing live O8 the other day when a woman sat down: she played every hand and went through several buy-ins, getting more and more pissed off the entire time - but then, on her next buy-in, she took...

Re: Imperial Palace vs. Venetian

I've been at the Venetian a couple of times lately and they have a guard who checks to make sure you have a room key before they let you near the elevators up to the rooms. So all of you would have...

Re: Do LA Casino have different playing \"personalities\" ?

I play a lot at HG, and I can say that:

a) the 4/8 LHE players seem to be incredibly easy to beat a lot of the time, and quite often very LAG too
b) the stud/8 is fun, but like someone said, hard...

opinions on epassporte

Just wanted to know how epassporte is working out for everyone - I'm thinking of using it now that neteller doesn't work anymore in the U.S.

Is it secure? Any problems?

Thanks!

Re: Iris Caught Marking the Cards at Commerce

Ha! I agree - just like those who sit stubbornly with their arms crossed until a certain dealer has left ("terrible dealer"); along with those who throw their cards swiftly at the dealer, meanwhile...

Re: 3/6 LO8, Too much jam again?

"This isnt PLO8 or NLO8 so I dont need to know specifically which cards are safe, just that Im doing well vs my opponents ranges."

I guess I don't see how you feel that you're doing well in this...

Re: surprising comments on the bellagio from me

But Al, don't you think that maybe the B staff was being nicer because it was a circuit event, and they were therefore more in the limelight themselves at that point? My own experiences at the...

(he has something worth calling the raise with)

Re: 1099 G Question

Both CaptHomer and broiler seem sure that the law says husband and wife can use each others' losses against individual winnings - which now causes me to wonder about *why* my CPA told me otherwise. ...

Re: 1099 G Question

I just won a jackpot a couple of weeks ago (video poker, a weakness of mine) - the slot manager went out of his way to explain that the IRS won't recognize any of my losses unless I'm using my own...

Re: 1099 G Question

HI fishyak,

I've looked into this pretty carefully the last few years since I've gotten some substantial winnings - event though they gave you a 1099, the same laws/rules would still apply as it...

Re: Non-smoking Casino

I believe that eventually even Las Vegas casinos will be nonsmoking, and that it will not affect gambling at all. Come on, do you really think those who love to gamble are going to give it up if they...

Re: Hawaiian Gardens is a shithole

I was there yesterday during the day and there were no problems - but the place was really packed full of people, so they must have had a plumbing event.
That's too bad.

Re: Poker in Lake Tahoe

We usually stay at the Hyatt a few times a year, and as crashjr said they do have 4/8 limit and 10/20 Crazy Pineapple. The blinds are 1/2 in the 4/8 with a half-kill (I think it's a half-kill). The...

Re: 75/150 bottom 2 baby flush draw weak low draw gutshot

Hi T-Stone,

I tend to agree with Buzz here in that there isn't really a very good fit with the flop - just enough to be tempting, but of the sort that will usually get you in trouble (in my...

I'm sure the action is delicious - but it's still not worth it to me to even be part of the hype going on there. And then the fact that they won't reprimand someone like that bitch floor-lady. ...

What is the best, safest way to deposit?

Re: what site do you recommend?

Thanks to everyone. The general consensus seems to be Pokerstars, so I'll look at that. I'll also look at Ultimate bet. I really only want to get involved in tournies and keep playing cash games...

what site do you recommend?

I always play live games, but have decided to start playing some online tournaments. Which site do you all think is the best in regards to how well it's run, graphics, etc?
TIA
