Re: Finding Chips On The Floor
I was told by security folks in the slot area of a NV casino, that as long as the $ wasn't touching their machine in any way, shape, or form, it's OK to pick it up.
Don't touch bills hanging out...

Re: quality poker anywhere??
The only free decent live poker to watch might be some online cash games.
No commercials, no annoying announcers, etc etc, but then again no cameras, but good opportunity to actually work on...

Re: How does Phil Hellmuth win tournaments?
He wears jacket and sunglasses and becomes a statue to hide HIS tells.
The rest is playing TAG and picking his spots and estimating people's cards is not brain surgery, I've made some great reads,...

Re: How Does Helmuth not get punch in the mouth?
Years ago Sam Grizzle supposedly decked him, Sam's pushing 5'8" if he's lucky.
I thought Phil H was more like 6'4" and Phil Gordon was 6'8".
Phil's obviously over-acting, I'll laugh if he ever...

Re: Poker Academy Prospector
It's under $50, well worth your dollar.
Already working on my 'issues', discovery was a problem for me until this program.
1000 hands is only limitation, and basically that is all PT had, and...

Re: Worst Hand ever played on TV
I'm still wondering how HAIR challenged Mr. Jacob called off his tournament with 94s
on a A4xK board w/no flush draw in early event of this world series to go out in 3rd place, when he had tons of...

Re: Live game staking
I agree, staking for a cash game is bad idea.
Someone could easily fubar you with better deal with another player if they are desperate enough... Chip dumping ploy comes to mind.
Now if I had...

Re: What tables to play with my budget
With 24 hours, I'd go with 2/5 at MGM Grand, buyin max twice, if you lose the first $1000, drop to 1/2 NL with 5 buyins, lose the first 3 too quick, use last $400 on limit.
Good luck! 8)

Re: Spread Limit Q\'s
Only one I have played is 2-6 at the Excalibur, and it is still going strong.
I'd be surprised if T.I. had a 4/8 game going let alone a 2-20 spread game, but maybe they have become a decent room,...

Re: Vegas TR (really long)
The MGM poker room AS it is today opened in 2005 btw, I was there, in March if memory serves.
Nice trip report, and Wynn is one of my favorite rooms as well.

Re: Vegas Baby Vegas....(Hotel ? Post)
Actual On The Strip (on the end you likely want) wise the cheapest places would be Tropicana and Barbary Coast, ask about suites.
Otherwise further down, try the Stratosphere and the New Frontier...

Re: Fiesta Rancho Poker Room - CLOSED
The Strip wise, for now:
MGM, Mirage, Wynn, Bellagio, Sahara, Luxor, Bally's, Palms and Excalibur, add Venetian and Caesar's too MAYBE, but they are late to the dance.
Not mentioning the locals...

Re: poker after dark
I've seen a few episodes, I am annoyed at some of the BS hands they show, bet raise fold or call, BB check, flop misses both, one bets, other folds.
Vanessa is the slowest *BLEEP* I have ever seen...
