Re: Did i really miss a bet?

No cap heads up at CP. 57s is certainly in his range for a cold called raise with 8 people in.

What does button put hero on when we call the fourth bet on the flop and then donk the turn? ...

Did i really miss a bet?

9 handed 8/16 game at the park that's the best game i've played in that's not an evening on the weekend. Hero's image is fairly nitty. Hero hasn't had many marginal hands and has only shown down...

Re: Canterbury Park rake increase

Go directly to 6/12 where the rake is only 5%?

Edit: to answer your question: I don't think the 4/8 is significantly tougher than the 3/6...the variance could be higher due to the 4 chip...

Re: Canterbury Park rake increase

It's posted on the tables on the stakes cards. I probably wouldn't have noticed but i saw the dealer dropping a red chip. Before I could say WTF, i look down and there it is: 5% rake 5$ max. ...

Canterbury Park rake increase

I wasn't sure if it's already been posted here or not, but CP raised its rake from 4$ max to 5$ max on the 2/4-8/16 games this morning. The 15/30 and 30/60 still have a 4$ max, but now include a...

Re: August Cheese(LC)

[ QUOTE ]
That would have been a ridiculous beat if the last jack would have rolled on the river.

[/ QUOTE ]

Terrible indeed. Badger, that's horrible.

Re: August Cheese(LC)

Preface: 8/16 at the park. The bad beat jackpot at canterbury requires Aces full of tens to get beat by quads, both hole cards play, blah blah blah.

Some stuff happens preflop and i end up seeing...

Re: Live Flop Play: How Many Bets?

Really looks like villian (tight, raised in early position and has five bet a drawy board) has an overpair, or maybe a set. We're basically a wash against that range TT+,88. If villian has a bigger...

Re: A few Suited Ace Hands

Hard to guess what BB & BTN have in hand 1 without any reads BTN is really loose PF. Is she aggressive enough to 3 bet here with a J or K high flush or possibly worse? (your line really doesn't look...

Re: AKo against decent player

Results:

Villian fires at the blank river, i chicken out from my plan /images/graemlins/frown.gif and just call. Villian flips over AxQs and tells me he had to raise the turn because he picked...

Re: AKo against decent player

Well, my original plan was to call the turn raise and raise any non-spade river, folding if he three bet. I felt there was absolutely no chance villian would bet three bet against me here with a...

AKo against decent player

Background:

Villian is an 8/16 regular who has played many hours with me. He knows i'm tight and normally aggressive. He plays fairly well, but will sometimes raise draws in marginal situations...

Re: Live 6/12, river play questioned

[ QUOTE ]
Start by betting the flop

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm betting the flop 90% of the time here and slowplaying 10%. Is this terrible or should I always be betting here?

Re: Live 6/12, river play questioned

Results:

I thought about it for 10 seconds, and just called feeling rather sissyish. He proudly tables JJ and I take the pot. A few of the players at the table looked at me like i was insane and...

Re: Live 6/12, river play questioned

Sorry, I should have made it more clear in my original post. I'm not considering folding, but the merits of raising vs just calling. Thanks for the input so far.

Live 6/12, river play questioned

First post, be gentle /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Table is 9 handed and playing LP preflop, fairly passive postflop. To the two players that are capable of noticing it, Hero's image is tight...
