Re: Big draw on the turn in big pot

Well, yuck, that was a disastrous result. /images/graemlins/frown.gif A7 would be getting immediate 18.5:2, maybe almost enough to continue regardless?

Re: Big draw on the turn in big pot

Can someone explain why we would possibly want to bet the turn here? I think the following statements are most likely all true, no?

We are currently not the best hand.
The button is not going to...

Re: 44 Set in the SB

* grunch *

I think preflop is pretty easy call for set purposes with this many players.

On flop I too go for the check raise since my position to the preflop raiser is likely to trap lottsa...

Re: 2 Pair with 4-straight on board

* grunch *

Preflop I'm guessing 5 way is good enough to play 65s for one bet from the BB? I'm not too good with mediocre hands, plus OOP, so I'm thinking folding isn't too horrific either...

Re: In the pond (HG) with Frond

So Frond's in the HJ, perhaps looking to buy the button? Still an easy-peasy fold, no? If an Ace flops and Frond has one he's probably crushing you (unless raising a little light with A9s/A8s); how...

Re: KQ in BB against Loose Deceiver

* grunch *

I play most streets differently.

Preflop I raise although I'm thinking this is close (I'd check KJo). I'm guessing that against 5 players that I have a slight equity edge and that's...

Re: 2/4 B&M - Spewing all over myself on the river

If the river was the 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif (i.e. no flush) does it change anything here?

Re: TT live hand

Preflop seems standard.

Yucky flop, I don't think I can c-bet. What was your plan if someone bet; to call? Two clean outs, weakish BDFD, really weak BDSD; ug, I'm thinking about 3 outs so I...

Ya, I knew I spewed here. I wish I could spot that in the heat of battle more easily.

2/4 B&M - Spewing all over myself on the river

2/4 B&M, 10 handed, loose & passive

SB is loose passive old guy. Kind of guy that flops a set and then just calls down if ever raised for fear of monsters.

Button is very loose passive old...

Re: Correct way to play aces?

[ QUOTE ]

How stubbornly should I call to the river with aces/overpairs?

[/ QUOTE ]

Keep in mind that if up against 2 pair that you have lottsa outs for a higher two pair / set.

Re: November Goals, Graphs, Results Thread

Tonight will be my last game of the month. Only have to make up 5 BB to break-even for the month, not bad considering this month included my worst session ever (-68.75 BB in 5 hours).

Re: a9o on the bb in 2/4 six max

I'm thinking preflop is probably correct; I doubt A9o has much of an equity advantage over 3 top 50% hands?

Flop I just bet, I can't count on someone betting my hand for me. If I let this check...

Re: Live 6/12: A8 flops a gutter and goes to war

So what do we do if an A hits on the turn? Are we calling down single bets? Thanks to our weak starting hand, we're behind 7 Ace kickers (AK, AQ, AJ, AT, A9, A6 and A5, although we do have outs),...

Re: Live 6/12: A8 flops a gutter and goes to war

Even if opponents are idiots, can we really outplay them postflop with A9, A8, etc.? What happens when an A flops; are we that comfortable with our hand? All higher Aces have us outkicked (and bad...

Re: Live 6/12: A8 flops a gutter and goes to war

With lottsa limpers, I'm folding <= A9o on the CO, Button and SB. Is that super nitty?

Lately on flop I've been peeling with lottsa players to act again behind me cuz I rarely see it check/raised...

There's a fantastic post in the micro's right now regarding bankroll; give it a read.

BTW, if you've won 12 out of 13 times you are running insanely hot right now (IMO).
